Nursery September 2019 Open Day Information Invites have been sent out this week to families who have expressed an interest in joining Ashleigh Nursery in September 2019. If there is an older sibling in school the invitation has been sent home with them. The meetings are 9:15am on Thursday 7 th or Tuesday 12 th February. If you would like to attend please contact the school office so we have an idea of numbers expected at each meeting. Thank you. Forest School Despite the weather being relatively mild at the moment, it is still important for those children who are taking part in outdoor learning sessions to bring in layers of clothing. This doesn t have to be expensive outdoor gear either - for example, long sleeved t-shirts, with a sweatshirt or hoodie, leggings, tights (or both!) under tracksuit bottoms is ideal, also an extra pair of socks is essential as wellies are not the warmest of footwear. A new year marks a new start, and already spring is starting to awaken! Take a look at trees branches, although they are bare, new buds are developing, some trees may even be starting to blossom. Look out for spring bulbs coming up and the days gradually growing longer. The birds also start to get noisier this time of year and are busy collecting materials for building nests. You don t have to go far, just stand in the garden for a few minutes or look around on the way to or from school. Mrs Roberts, Forest School Lead School Clubs If you know that your child will not be attending an after-school club for any reason, please also let the office know. This would be much appreciated and stop us contacting parents if their child has not arrived at the club as expected.
