For example the STEAM robotics course, has all of the children bubbling with excitement. League Tag lessons will be commencing next Wednesday for 3 consecutive weeks. This is a FREE activity. Our Information Evenings will be held for :- Stage 1 on March 5 th from 5.00-6.00pm Stages 2 and 3 from 5.00-6.00pm This will be an opportunity for you to hear about the exciting new programs in place for this year. An overview of the year will be presented. Assessments are nearly completed so that from 19 th March to the 28 th March you are invited to make an appointment with your teachers for a personal interview regarding your child. More information regarding how to book your appointment online will be sent home soon. Thank you to all of the parents parking in Sandpiper Place and the children are walking safely. However the buses are still problematic and I have spoken to and sent an email to the company CDC. The buses are consistently late and the parking issue out the front is dangerous. Mrs Moore attended a Road Safety course this week and is using this situation as a case study. This information will assist us in our submission to Council. The sports Shed has been approved as well as the new electronic sign. I will be holding meetings with the Department of Education Asset manager soon to sign off and organise dates of instalment. Our school has been selected to complete the NAPLAN online this year. Our teachers Mrs Walker and Miss Armstrong, will be attending training sessions next week.
Our staff attended the annual CPR and Anaphylaxis training Thursday afternoon. These hours will accrue towards the end of year Staff Development Day on 21.12.18. Next week I will be taking Carers Leave and Mrs Eurell will be Relieving Principal. Have a wonderful weekend. Easter Egg Raffle The Student Representative Council (SRC) will be raffling Easter egg baskets on Grandparent s Day to help raise money for school resources. We would like you to send in donations of Easter eggs to make up the prizes. We usually have about 10 baskets each year. Tickets for the prizes will be sold at school on Grandparents Day which will be held on Thursday 29 th March. SRC representatives will visit the classrooms each morning to collect any donations. Swimming Carnival Results 2018 On Friday 2nd February, we held our annual school Swimming Carnival at Riverstone Swimming Pool. The carnival was a great success due the great teamwork between the staff and parent volunteers. We really appreciate your help parents to make the carnival run so smoothly.
