ROCKET RECORDER Dear Saint Nicholas Community, Welcome back everyone! The teachers, students, and staff are getting back into a routine of going to school. Plans are being made for some fun activities for Catholic Schools Week, concluding with our Talent Show on Friday. I will be sending out a list of activities and a January Calendar early next week. December was a busy month for school, but especially for my family. I tried to thank as many people as possible for the prayers and the gifts, but if I missed you I want to say thank you. I am truly blessed to be in such a caring, faith filled, and loving community. There is a School Choice presentation for St. Nicholas School on January 8 at 6:00. Income limits have gone up significantly since the start of this program. After the presentation I will share the PowerPoint, so it can be a reference for you. I have a parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 15, at 6:00 pm. Also, there is an open house Tuesday at Saint Nicholas Catholic School on Tuesday, January 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The book fair will be open. Tell your friends. There have been some confirmed cases of strep at school. Make sure that we are being diligent when it comes to our children s health. If they are sick, please keep them home. We have some snow on the ground; make sure that we are bringing hats, mittens, boots, and snow pants to school. Remember if a student does not have snow pants they should be staying on the sidewalk. Thank you everyone for your support of Saint Nicholas School. Blessings, Scott Vanderloop Rocket Recorder 1
