The 7th graders swept all three games with wins of over 25 points against both Chapel Hill and Doe Creek before a narrow 34-31 win last night over Riverside. The 8th grade lost 50-49 to Chapel Hill, defeated Doe Creek 59-36 and lost to Riverside 39-37. Both teams will be working hard over the break as they will have a busy schedule upon their return. They will both be at home on Tuesday November 29th vs Perry Meridian before beginning the Marion on Thursday December 1st. The complete tournament field is available on our website. The Wrestling call-out meeting will be Tuesday November 29th at 4:00 in the LGI room. Swimming and Diving will begin tryouts on December 1st. Girls Basketball continues open gyms as they prepare for tryouts that begin on December 5th. Students who missed the call-out meeting should see Coach Harris for info on open gyms. Please remember that in order to try out for any sport here at Belzer, students must have a completed IH- SAA physical packet dated after April 1, 2016. Lawrence Central Softball is hosting winter workouts on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM and Friday mornings from 6:30-7:30 AM. All girls interested in playing this spring and not involved in a winter sport are strongly encouraged to attend. Lawrence Central Volleyball will host its first Rising Stars clinic on Saturday December 3rd. All volleyball players and students interested in playing volleyball next year should plan to attend. More info is available on the attached flyer. Lawrence Central Soccer is hosting a clinic next week open to students ages 4-13. More info is available on the attached flyer. Volleyball Lawrence-Central HS Varsity Coach Kyla Montgomery will be leading this program, and will be joined by other qualified coaches involved with LC volleyball. Girls of all skill levels, including girls who have never played volleyball before are welcome! The lady bears coaching staff and players are hosting a Thanksgiving Break soccer clinic! What better way than to sharpen your skills while your competition is taking a break?! During the 2-night clinic, athletes will be divided into age appropriate groups and then skill level. They will be taught some new moves and continue to work on those. We will spend the first night learning technical tactics and then the second night will be geared towards tactical awareness (when to use your move etc.) Clinic is hosted by a USSF Licensed Coach and Head Coach of the Lady Bears!
