Posters must be turned in Sunday, July 12, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. in the poultry barn. More details will be released soon. 4-Complete the Poultry Skillathon DURING the Clinton County Fair. Skillathons will be offered on each show day. Specific times and information will be released soon. Poultry Exhibitors will NOT take the Skillathon during the county Skillathons in June. 5-Turn in a completed sale card by July 16 at 6:30 p.m. Awards will be provided for Skillathon, showmanship and posters. Sale orders will be determined from contest placings. A member may participate in any of the above items, but to be clinton.osu.edu CFAES provides research and related educational programs to clientele on a nondiscriminatory basis. This plan is for the Clinton County Junior Fair. Each county across the state is making decisions based on the needs and resources available in each county. If members choose to participate in the poultry department these are the guidelines of completion for both market and breeding projects. We understand that many market exhibitors in Clinton County have cancelled orders due to the virus. We wanted to provide all youth in the poultry department the opportunity to participate in the junior fair as a poultry exhibitor. We believe this plan will provide all poultry members the opportunity to be an active participant in the Clinton County Junior Fair. Final information and more details on showmanship, Skillathon topics & times, and poster requirements will be available June 22, 2015. Those will be shared from the OSU Extension office. Dairy Exhibitors Dairy Sale order as determined by the Dairy Committee. We wish to encourage education for our participants so using your skillathon score will determine the sale order. You have access to study materials through your project books and the Extension office skillathon kits. Sale order will be as follows. 1. Supreme Champion Dairy Cattle Project 2. Reserve Supermen Champion Dairy Cattle Project 3. Senior Lawrence Dean Memorial Award

4. Junior Lawrence Dean Memorial Award 5. Dairy Princess 6. The remainder will be determined by the individual Skillathon scores. All participants, juniors and Seniors have equal footing as these are different tests. In the event of a tie in scores, alphabetical by last name will break the tie." 2015 CLINTON COUNTY HOMEMAKERS 4-H SCHOLARSHIP (For members 14 years of age and older as of the current year) The Clinton County Homemakers is a volunteer organization strengthening individuals through education, community service and leadership development.we encourage progressive improvement of our home and community life. Purpose of Award:As a Clinton County organization for Family and Consumer Sciences, through this award, we encourage and promote the development of homemaking skills, education and leadership development. The organization will award one $200 non-renewable scholarship to a deserving current year 4-H participate in a field related to skills in family and consumer sciences in the home, community service and leadership development. Return application to the OSU Extension Office by June 18, 2015,attn: Clinton Co. Homemakers. Interviews with applicant by appointment on June 26, 2015, in the Extension office. Award to be presented during Creative Projects Award ceremony at fair. Winning applicant will be notified by mail or telephone. Club Minutes & Attendance Club minutes & attendance are due to the Extension office on June 15, which is this Monday. We need attendance for members and advisors. Also turn in the meeting minutes. These items may be sent, emailed or dropped off. CLUB BOOTH Request If your club would like to decorate a booth in the Junior Fair Building during fair please submit a space request form by June 19 to the Extension office. Form are in the Junior Fair Requirements Book, online or in the Extension office. Junior Fair Wristbands

Skillathon: June 18 & 23, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairground Members must complete a skillathon for each of the following project areas that they are enrolled in: beef, dairy, dogs, goats, hogs, horses, poultry, rabbits and sheep at the designated time before the fair to be eligible to show their animals at the fair. A completed official 4-H/FFA project book or insert, which is 10% of the total skillathon score must be turned in at the time the test is taken. Members having valid scheduling conflicts who cannot attend the scheduled dates must notify the OSU Extension office in writing by midnight prior to the last skillathon date. No make-up tests during the fair. Those not taking the skillathon during the county dates are ineligible for any skillathon awards. Members who enter the skillathon test buildings must sign in and take the skillathon that night. Only members taking the Skillathon are permitted in the testing areas. No cell phones may be used in the testing area. Inserts If you have been looking for the breeding and market livestock inserts online please know they are not posted yet. Inserts and books are available in the office. We hope to have the inserts online by early June. Do you want to be on the RADIO??? (walhradio.com) The local online radio station located at 12 W Main Street would like to interview 4-H members and volunteers in the studio. Listen tomorrow, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. to hear from three of our teen leaders that represent camp counselors, Fashion & Nutrition Board and Junior Fair Board. All you have to do is go to walhradio.com and click on listen live. If you want to stop in and share about your 4-H projects and experiences please call me or send me an email at montague.18@osu.edu. The station does pre-recordings on Thursday & Fridays at approximately 6 p.m.be prepared to answer some questions, but also share your name, 4-H activities & projects, how long you ve been in 4-H, what you like best about the program, why did you join and is anyone else in your family involved or were they!

Over spring and summer we would like all clubs to participate. Please share this with other members and let me know if you plan to go. WE NEED NEW MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS EACH WEEK! Camp 2015 Thank you for everyone that helped make the 2015 Junior 4-H Camp possible. We had a great week of fun, night swims, rafting, zip lining, games, crafts, dances and more. We also want to thank all the campers that selected to come to 4-H camp. You were a wonderful group of campers. We look forward to seeing many Cloverbud Campers on June 22 at 4-H Camp Graham for Wild About Animals! A BIG thank you to the 32 outstanding teen counselors that serve at junior camp and Cloverbud camp. In Clinton County many of the QA/PQA sessions are geared towards a specific department and held with a clinic. ALL county QA events will qualify a member for any market or lactating project including swine. We have one QA/PQA sessions left this season: June 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fairground/Expo.
