Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow This course introduces high school juniors and seniors to a career in teaching. Students participate in an internship with a local primary or intermediate school. Students are assigned a classroom and are able to work with their cooperating teacher and teach lessons in a real classroom setting. This class is a great opportunity to explore a teaching career! There is opportunity for students to receive dual enrollment credit for taking this course.

Do you have 8 total classes picked? Make sure you have listed the correct number of electives and some alternate choices. Make sure you have marked your 8 classes and alternates on your scheduling form. Finish up and question time

At the bottom of the 2 nd page of your scheduling form list the classes you think you might take in your senior year. When you are done with your form, pass it to the right making sure all forms are going in the same direction.

In January, a copy of your completed scheduling form will be mailed home. You will be able to enter your course requests into StudentVUE sometime in mid January. You will be given directions on how to do this. Your counselor will call you down to Guidance in February March to finalize your classes for next year. Please do not put a note in her box to talk about scheduling. She will call you down.

If you are a serious athlete and are thinking that you want to play a sport in college, you should tell your counselor this information when you are scheduling. Need to make sure you are taking NCAA approved classes. You should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center during your junior year. You should take the PSAT in the fall
