March After Care Newsletter March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb, wow was last Friday the perfect example of that! We hope everyone had a dry and safe weekend! This month in after care, we will review the following topics, Dr. Seuss, Saint. Patrick s Day, Lent, Good Friday, Palm Sunday, the weather, and the trait of the month, cooperation. We have also started to make decorations for the gym and cafeteria for The Little Mermaid. This month, for our bulletin board kindness is golden there is a pot of gold- but it s empty! For every act of kindness a child does in aftercare their name will go on a gold coin and put in the pot the child with the most coins at the end of the month, will get a free ice cream at lunch time. Dates to remember: Friday, March 16: Saint Patrick s Day Celebration (some leprechaun fun, followed by green snacks) Reminders: Toys from home are not allowed in aftercare, this includes slime. We have plenty of activities and toys to play with at school. If your child has toys in their backpacks from home, the toys are to stay in their bags until pickup. We would greatly appreciate your help on this matter. We are not responsible for lost or broken toys. When leaving from aftercare, please do not let anyone in the building in passing. Everyone must ring the bell to be let in by a sta! member. We understand you may know the child or the parents, but it is important that we know who is in the building at all times. This is for the safety of the children and the sta!.
