New School Build Sports Captains 2017/18 Congratulations to our Sports Captains selected for this year who have already equipped themselves very well organising Inter-House Competitions. We are scheduled to move into the new Campbeltown Grammar School in February 2018 and excitement is building. As Young Ambassadors we are already working closely with the PE Department and our Active Schools coordinator to plan for our move and produce a timetable of extra-curricular sports activities within this new facility. The new Physical Education Department will comprise of a large games hall with 4 badminton courts, full size basketball, volleyball and netball court. On the first floor there is a large gymnasium with one badminton court including a small climbing wall. In addition there will be a staff base, ground floor and first floor changing rooms as well as a laundry room. No more dirty bibs to wear in lessons! Once the move takes place the old CGS building will then be demolished to make way for our full size allweather pitch and staff car park. This outdoor pitch facility will transform both the PE curriculum as well as extra-curricular programme within CGS giving us the opportunity to work outdoors all year round. Look out for our next Sports Newsletter and hopefully we will have a sneak preview of our new sports facilities in the New Campbeltown Grammar.
