The P&C have continued to support the school in its efforts to provide our students with the best opportunities possible. I extend my sincere thanks to the hard working members who volunteer their time throughout the year. In Conclusion Whilst some parents may believe that a small school cannot provide the same opportunities as a large school, I would challenge this (mis)perception and point out that even though we are a small school, Padbury PS offers its students a well-rounded curriculum and boasts the same high quality programs that might (or might not) be found in larger schools. In addition the caring, compassionate nature of every staff member ensures each child s needs are well understood and these are able to be met in a highly supportive learning environment. Padbury PS has a culture similar to a small country school, something that is quite unique in metropolitan schools and parents regularly tell me that it is for exactly this reason that they have chosen Padbury over other larger schools. I have worked in many schools during my career and the staff at Padbury PS is among the most dedicated and professional group I have had the pleasure of working with. They, together with a committed parent body, ensure that Padbury PS can rightfully boast a caring and supportive culture. I feel extremely privileged to be part of such a committed group and am looking forward to 2019 with a great deal of confidence and enthusiasm. We are arriving at the busy time of the term with only a couple of days left to complete the year. Staff are gearing up for the end of year graduation for our year six students. Proposed classes 2019 As advised in the previous newsletter planning for 2019 is well underway and I am able to provide parents with an indication of classes for next year. Based on current anticipated enrolments, the proposed class structure for 2019 will be: Class K/PP Year 1/2 Year 3/4 Year 5 Year 6 Teacher Ms Thomas / TBA Mrs Aravidis / Mrs Reid Miss Atkins / Mrs Aravidis Ms Adams Mr Gillett Parents should be aware that changes in enrolments may require the proposed classes to be changed. Parents are reminded that classes cannot be confirmed until enrolments are confirmed early in the new school year.

s P & C News! P&C News What a great year our little school has had! This year, we have managed to raise $9200, which is a fantastic effort for such a small community. We ve been so proud to be able to support: the nature play equipment, the Reading Eggs subscription, tickets for the Leadership Convention, the year 5/6 camp subsidy, the registration fee and bus cost for One Big Voice as well as the year 6 graduation lunch and the new path at the back of the school. We would like to give heartfelt thanks to all who have supported the P&C this year. Whether you have organised or helped out during an event, or just come along to participate your generosity is greatly appreciated. Our thanks go to the P&C members, teachers and staff at Padbury PS, the parents and our children for supporting all events over the year. We d like to remind you that all executive P&C positions (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) will be open for re-election at the AGM next year. If you re looking for a good cause to dedicate some time to why not consider joining the P&C and even taking on an executive position? If you re interested, or just have questions, contact Jenny Evans. The P&C is a great way to get involved with our school, raise valuable funds for resources that enhance our children s learning and get to know other parents. Every little bit helps and every person brings something great to the table. Finally, we d like to wish you all a merry Christmas, happy holidays, a safe New Year and we ll see you all in 2019. Final Free Dress Day: Thursday 13 th of December The theme for the final free dress day of the year is Beach Wear. Please remember enclosed shoes and no bathers, please.
