Happy Anniversary to the following HOG members celebrating their marriage in the month of January submitted by Joan Lesko 8 Bill & Elaine Lewis 24 Kevin &? Murphy 11 Ed & Kathy Borre 25 Thomas & Kathryn Miceli 12 John & Vera Tierney Director s notes Happy New Year everyone! Hope all that attended the Christmas party had a great time, I know I did! Thanks to your generosity we donated $285 to the Shalom Center, the clothing and hygiene supplies were delivered to the Veterans Center and they were greatly appreciated. 15 Chapter members were present for the New Year s Day Brunch, even though it was very cold and the silly people did not jump in the water. We tried to get Gus Anderson to repeat his performance from last year, but he was not interested! J I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting on Sunday, January 14 th. Remember it is Dues time so please be prepared to fill out the membership form and pay your yearly dues. I challenge each of you to invite a non-member, Harley owner to join our chapter. We are a great bunch of riders and the camaraderie is contagious. Let s make 2018 a year of membership growth! Due to the escalating costs of printing and mailing of the newsletter, the board has voted to suspend the print copy and the digital format will be our alternative. Should you have questions or concerns please feel free to discuss them with me. Thank you for your anticipated understanding. Stay Warm Kevin Klee Director Activities Baby it is cold this month! Well the fun event of watching silly people jump into the frigid Lake Michigan was cancelled, but a warm breakfast was shared with some chapter members at the Boat House. We did a lot of reminiscing over past events and began wondering what 2018 has in store for the Kenosha HOG Chapter. Looking forward to February s meeting and the fun activities that will follow the meeting and dinner. Do you have a favorite game, one that you could share with the chapter? On the agenda thus far are Family Feud, Win, Loose or Draw, Minute to Win it, Triominos, Tenzy, Shut the Box and Poker. Please share some of your best games. Get ready to put your smarts and skills to the test Watch your email for announcements for an overnight event in Milwaukee to watch Jeff, Uke s Sales Manager, race, after which we will spend a night on the town. Doan RIP January 2018 Membership Newsletter News Happy New Year to all the Kenosha UKES HOG Members. With a new year comes also a renewal of your Kenosha HOG Membership which expires every year on 12-31. We are having our main registration and renewal event at the January meeting with lots of people on hand to help make it a smooth and quick process, so come a little early or stay late and lets get you renewed for 2018. The cost is the same as last year which is $20.00 for a Full Membership and $15.00 for Associate membership. The difference between Full and Associate is that in most cases, Full is for the driver of the cycle and Associate would be for the passenger/rider. Every member MUST have a valid Main HOG Membership either Full and Associate members, and we accept cash and checks for your dues. Please bring you National Card when you sign up for 2018. We must have a separate membership form for all members, even if you re married/couple. We have attached a membership form in with this months newsletter for you to fill out prior to the January meeting and we will also have blanks available at the meetings as well for your convenience. If you have any questions call or email me at 847-226-1759 or Garyquedenfeld@sbcglobal.net Put Kenosha HOG in the subject line for fastest response Gary Quedenfeld 847 226 1759 Happy New Year from your Head Road Captain: Unfortunately, the Polar Bear Plunge was cancelled due to the extremely cold weather but I hope that many of you still made it out for breakfast. The road captains and I are working on rides for the upcoming season. Our goal is to have the most of the calendar ready to go by March. I will be looking for volunteers to help with the Poker Run, performing a variety of jobs. In the meantime, if there is something that you feel would make a great cage ride, let me know and we can try to make it happen. At our next meeting, I will be sharing information about the Ride 365 program that National HOG has unveiled and how we can participate. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the January meeting.
