Art Wittman, Manager, School Enrollment & Demographics SUBJECT: OCTOBER FTE ENROLLMENT REPORT SY2011-12 (FY2012) The October FTE enrollment report was compiled on Friday, October 14, 2011. Total K-12 enrollment was 174,886 students. K-12 enrollment increased by 2,222 students over October 2010 enrollment. Pre-kindergarten enrollment was 3,361 students, an increase of 202 prekindergarten students from October 2010. Enrollment declined each year in FY2006, 2007 and 2008. Table 2 shows the change in enrollment (delta) for the last ten school years. K-12 enrollment increased by 882 students since the 11thday enrollment count (September 6th). K-12 enrollment in North, Central and South area schools showed net increases; enrollment in west area schools and transformation schools declined. Enrollment in North and Central areas grew at each level, elementary, middle and high. The attached report provides enrollment, Class Size Reduction (CSR) capacity and CSR FISH utilization for each school. FY2012 October FIE figures are compared to 11th day enrollments and to FY2011 October FIE numbers, by school and area. October enrollment is also compared to enrollment projections by school. The October FIE report is the benchmark annual monitoring report for School Concurrency review.
