Annual Report VIII th Annual Day 22 Oct 2011 It is my privilege and a pleasant duty to extend a very cordial and warm welcome to Lt General Anand Mohan Verma, AVSM, SM, VSM, Director, Military Operation, Army Headquarters, New Delhi, distinguish guests on the auspicious occasion of VIII th Annual Day celebration of this prestigious institution of the state of Bihar and country as well. Establishment of Sainik Schools conceptualized with the primary aim of preparing boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into National Defence Academy. Besides being a feeder institution to NDA, the twenty-four Sainik Schools located all over India have brought Public School Education within the reach of common man especially the wards of socially and economically weaker sections of our society. Sainik Schools as a family have been able to provide the right material to NDA by espousing young cadets to join the defence services. Annual Day is not really a stereotype presentation and to celebrate a day but I believe, it gives the fragrance of bouquet of activities of any School. Sainik Schools all over the country follow the CBSE curriculum and medium of instruction is English. of Sainik Schools are offered only Science Stream with the option of choosing between Biology and Computer Science after AISSE board examination.
