ST. JOSEPH S INSTITUTION INTERNATIONAL PRINCIPAL S MESSAGE Dear Parents, As always, the final week of the year has flown by. The highlight of this week was undoubtly our inaugural Sports Award Evening a fantastic celebration of sports achievement for 2018. We end 2018, this morning, with our final Awards Assembly, followed by the SJII s Got Talent event, now a tradition for the last day of the year. As happened last year, the end of the term does not mean the end of school activities. This weekend sees our 3 rd Ski Trip to Switzerland departing. We also have a group of students on a dive trip to Bali. We wish them all a wonderful time! The past week has also seen the following events taking place: Grade 7 and 8 Arts Showcase and the Grade 8 Snack Attack. It was fantastic to see close to 500 people at this wonderful celebration of sports over the past year. Well done to all our award winners. Also, I want to say Thank You to all of our coaches (both teachers and external) who have coached these teams all year. We greatly appreciate all that you do! A special Thank You goes to our Sports leadership team (led by Kenny Hegarty and Ian Fern) for their initiative in making this happen and for the wonderful evening itself.

This will start on, 16 January (3 rd school day of the year), and include the following sports: U16 and U19 Boys and Girls Badminton; U14 Boys and Girls Basketball; U19 Boys Cricket; U16 and U19 Girls Netball; U13 Boys Rugby; U14 Boys and Girls Tennis. We look forward to seeing as many students as possible at these trials. 2018 has been another fantastic year for SJI International. We continue to offer a multitude of wonderful opportunities for our students. These are only possible through the commitment and dedication of our teaching team. Our teaching and support team genuinely go the extra mile for our students, putting in much more time and effort than could ordinarily be expected. I want to say a massive THANK YOU to all members of our teaching and support teams, for making 2018 such a roaring success. I would especially like to thank our leaving staff for all of their hard work: Mrs Pauline Bull; Ms Natasha Tzanetou; Ms Suzanne Taylor; Mr Bernard Teo; and Mr Nicholas Mercer. We wish them all the very best as they continue their journeys. I also want to wish all of our leaving families the very best - may your futures be filled with many blessings.
In closing, I would like to say a very big thank you to all of our parents who have continued to support the school. As we strive to provide your children with the best possible education, your support and trust go a very long way in helping us with this complex job. I would like to wish those members of our community who celebrate Christmas, all of the very best for the festive season. I hope that the coming holiday period brings you the rest and regeneration that you need. With your help and support, I am looking forward to an even better!
