Outside Play Equipment on School Grounds Just a reminder that before and after school it is parent s responsibility to supervise their own children on any of the school equipment that is available on our school grounds Nursery Registration Forms It is never too early to register your child for our school nursery. Forms are available on the carousel outside the school office. Good news from each class Nursery Have been looking at traditional tales (three little pigs) and have made houses out of straw, sticks and bricks. Reception - Have been learning about animals and also about hot countries. Year 1 -The story Bog Baby has been our focus this week in English. We have met the character and have been using lots of language to describe what it looks like. Year 2A&B Have been listening to the story of Paddington Bear as part of their new English topic and will be planning their own story soon. Year 3 We are reading Billionaire Boy in English and in Maths we are doing place value and number ordering. Year 4 Have been looking at different fables and trying to work out the moral of the story. Year 5 Have been finding out about forces in Science and are having a table dojo competition this half term. Year 6 Are enjoying reading extracts from Harry Potter and are looking forward to writing their own flashbacks next week.
Free school Meals If you think you may qualify for free school meals please contact the Pupil Access department on 01772 532253. This is also applicable even if your child already receives universal free school meals. The check is a very simple procedure and will benefit your child. Applications for Reception 2017 The applications close this Sunday. Applications for reception also require a supplementary faith form along with proof of Baptism to meet the criteria of our admissions policy. Please ask at the office if you require any help with your application. In addition if you know anyone who wants to apply to St Richard s in another year group ask them to contact school and all their details will be taken and advice given on an individual basis. Payments to school Please check your parent pay account on a regular basis. Dinner money should be in credit at all times. I have put milk charges on parent pay for Reception and KS1 children who have requested milk and are not eligible for free milk. Please let me know if there are any queries regarding milk.
