What are the procedures before arrival? 2/12 Congratulations on being admitted to INSA Lyon! Now you need to do the following: As Soon As Possible Apply for a visa and complete the Campus France application process or contact the French Embassy or Consulate. Before June 30 th 2018 Pay the Specific Fees for the International Sections From July 1 st 2018 Create an account at : http://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/ Pay for the CVEC (Financial contribution to student living expenses) Download or print the CVEC certificate Before July 10 th 2018 Forward your administrative file by email to : fipc@insa-lyon.fr Before departure Request an apostille on the translation of your birth certificate from the French Embassy or Consulate. European students should ask for a multilingual birth certificate (Formula A).
3/12 2018-2019 Specific fees for the International sections (To be paid once during the five year degree) PLEASE NOTE : The specific fees will not be refunded should a student withdraw. The total amount of the specific fees is to be paid before arrival. Please send evidence of the payment by e-mail to: ac@insa-lyon.fr Copy to fipc@insa-lyon.fr Please make sure you identify your bank transfer or your money order with the following information:. student s first name and last name. student admission number. name of the international section
Which documents should I bring with me? 4/20 The CVEC payment certificate Passport The visa validation form "Visa de long séjour - Demande d'attestation OFII" A birth certificate with the full names of both parents A certified French translation of the birth certificate approved by a French Embassy or Consulate (see example below) PLEASE NOTE : In some cases, the French Public Services may refuse a translation from abroad. Students will then need to contact a translator certified by the Court of Lyon (list on demand at the Registrar s Office).

Getting from the airport to the train station 6/12 The Rhonexpress shuttle links St Exupéry Airport to Part Dieu railway station (journey time 30 minutes). You can buy your ticket on the website : http://www.rhonexpress.fr/ 14.70 You can buy your ticket on the shuttle platform : 13.20 A shuttle attendant is on hand in every train to provide information and help.
Getting from the train station Part-Dieu 7/12 IUT Feyssine Price: 1.80 www.tcl.fr Alight from the Rhone-Express shuttle, go through the Part-Dieu railway station and leave by the Porte Rhône exit. Cross the square Place Charles Béraudier to reach the Tram T1 station. Tram tickets can be purchased on platform vending machines located at each tram stop. Take the Tram T1 in the direction of IUT Feyssine. Alight either at INSA-Einstein or Croix-Luizet. Please Note : You must stamp your ticket in the validation machine inside the tram carriage.
2018 Summer School 2018-2019 INFORMATION GUIDE Dates : AMERINSA, ASINSA, EURINSA: From 9 th August to 13 th September 2018 SCAN World/Asia/Europe: From 23 rd August to 14 th September 2018 During official arrival days, representatives from the Students Union can pick you up at the airport or at the railway station. You will receive more information by email in July. 8/12 Costs : AMERINSA No charge ASINSA No charge SCAN World/Asia No charge EURINSA 613 * SCAN Europe 520 ** *Package for Accommodation, Food, Activities: 355 French courses (FLE - Français Langue Etrangère) : 258 ** Cost for Accommodation, Food, Activities: 334 (depending on the arrival time) French courses (FLE - Français Langue Etrangère): 186 No catering is provided during the week-ends in August. (This cost is to be met by the student) We advise students to count an extra 10 charge for pedagogical visits. PLEASE NOTE: The lease and the meal plans will be charged from September 1 st, 2018. PAYMENT : The invoice for Accommodation/Food/Activities will be given in August. Payment is due from August 27 th, 2018 at the Accountancy Desk. Students who are 18 or more can validate their visa as a one-year residence permit (OFII) Students who are not yet 18 will be given an appointment at the Prefecture when they turn 18 End of September 2018 End of September 2018 Sign up to Social Security by connecting to : etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr Upload school certificate, bank IBAN and a copy of residence permit. Provide proof of Housing insurance to the Accommodation Service Collect room keys End of September Receive lease certificate in mailbox Register for student housing financial aid by connecting to: www.caf.fr Upload lease certificate In October Sign up to Social Security by connecting to : etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr Upload school certificate, IBAN and a copy of residence permit.
12/12 Scholarships & financial help Students can apply for different scholarships and bursaries. The International Sections Scholarship (BFI) Available for first-year International Section students with a foreign high school leaving certificate. This scholarship will help foreign students coming from a disadvantaged social background to pay for their studies at INSA Lyon. The scholarship lasts 3 years provided that the student doesn t repeat classes. Further information at : https://www.insa-lyon.fr/fr/mobilite-internationale-accueil Please contact: bfi@insa-lyon.fr The CROUS grant Available to EU students in their second and subsequent years of study in France. The CROUS grant is provided by the French government to students who qualify for financial support based on their earnings, parental income etc. For full details of eligibility please consult the terms and conditions: https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/ The Eiffel Excellence Program with Campus France The Eiffel Excellence Program is reserved for foreign students. Students with French dual nationality cannot apply for it. Applications will be reviewed by Campus France and their decisions will then be transferred to INSA. NB: the deadline for the application via INSA is the beginning of December (the calendar must be validated by Campus France). If you wish to apply, please contact the training coordinator of your department. Most students will receive financial help which covers up to 40% of their rent. On-line Application at http://www.caf.fr/presse-institutionnel/international Bourse Région Mobilité Internationale Etudiants The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region currently provides financial assistance to students who do their summer internship abroad (outside France). Students will receive an e-mail in May with information on how to apply for this grant.
