The Noticeboard A Message From Mr Lainson Psalm 97:12 challenges us to rejoice in the Lord and praise his holy name. Sometimes as the year winds up and we get caught up in end of year celebrations and the busyness of life we fail to stop and acknowledge the majesty and greatness of our God. He is our creator, sustainer, Lord and King and worthy of our praise. Lets recognize and celebrate God s goodness to us in all things and especially in Christ. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the life of the school and hear about different plans and activities for our whole school. Kindergarten and Year 7 Orientation This week our 2015 Kindergarten and Year 7 students continue their orientation process. Year 12 Formal Year 12 will hold their formal this Thursday Evening. This should prove to be a great night of celebration and thanksgiving for the past 13 years of schooling. Please continue to pray for Year 12 as they conclude their formal schooling with us and move into the work place or to further study. 2015 Twilight Fete and Open Day Early warning that preparation for our Twilight Fete and Open Day is well under way. Towards the end of Term 4 2014, Tennis will send an email requesting parents to verify their details online. If parents action this request, verifying their child's personal information and selecting our school as their preferred tennis deliverer, our school will then receive an additional $5 towards our reward total. News from the Resource Centre We have full-time undergraduate accountant positions currently available, based from our Wollongong office. The successful applicants will be either commencing or continuing a Commerce/Business degree (majoring in Accountancy) at the University of Wollongong. You will be employed full time and complete your Degree on a part-time basis, gaining valuable experience as you work towards achieving a qualification that gives you options. KIDS CLOTHES SWAP FUNDRAISER Saturday 15th Nov from 2pm Illawarra Christian School Resource Centre (Library), 4 Tyalla Pl, Cordeaux Heights Boys & Girls Clothing, Footwear & Accessories Sizes: newborn - kids size 16 (Please ensure all items are in good condition) A clothes swap is a fun event, where you can update your children s wardrobe, save money on clothes, raise money for the school and care for the environment by preventing more landfill all in an afternoon! $10 Entry Fee Funds raised will be used for Cordeaux Campus Committee projects around the school. How the event will run: If you have clothes to swap Arrive at the Resource Centre at 2pm. Display/hang your clothes on the tables of appropriate sizing. Event will be declared open at 2.30pm, at which time you are free to go and look for items (unlimited) to take home. If you do not have clothes to swap but still want to grab a bargain Come to the Resource Centre from 3:30pm. Pay your entry fee. Walk around and choose items (unlimited) to take home. Dropping off clothes before the day? You can drop off clothes before the day to the OFFICE - Please make sure your items are sorted into size order and placed in bags (this will make for easy sorting when we display your items). Ensure you record your name with the office staff. Donating items for the event - If you can t attend but would still like to donate items (that would be great thanks!), please sort your items into sizes in bags then drop them to the office (you do not have to record your name).
