SCHEME OF ASSESSMENTS Classes I & II Assessment is an integral part of the teaching and learning process. To ensure the effectiveness of student s educational experience, it is important that varied assessment techniques be used at regular intervals. Bloom School has defined the following objectives for assessment: 1. To provide quality feedback to students so as to ensure growth in learning of students. 2. To effectively guide students through the essential elements of learning: the acquisition of knowledge, the understanding of concepts, the mastering of skills. 3. Co-Scholastic Areas Grade PROMOTION POLICY / RULES Grade Point A 4.1-5.0 B 3.1-4.0 C 2.1-3.0 As per CBSE there is no detention policy.but in order to be declared as Passed, a candidate shall obtain not less than 35% marks in each of the five subjects separately and in aggregate. Student has to secure 35% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject in Internal Assessment too. A student should maintain 75% attendance in an academic session. Students will be awarded only grades. It is mandatory to appear in all Examinations.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS Classes VI-VIII 1. The academic year is divided into two terms and examinations are held at the end of each term. 2. Evaluation of the Scholastic Aspect will be conducted according to the CBSE guidelines which are tabulated below. 3. Attendance in assessments for all classes from VI to VIII is compulsory. 4. Students found using unfair means during any Periodic Test or Term Examination will be marked zero in that subject. These students will not be eligible for any academic award or school appointment. 5. The final result will be calculated by taking 10% weightage of the Periodic Test + 10% weightage of Note Book and Subject Enrichment Activities + 80% weightage of Half Yearly and Final Exam. 6. We hope that with the cooperation and support of the parents, we shall be able to make a success of this system which is a path breaking initiative taken by C.B.S.E to aspire for holistic development of the students in a conducive environment.
