GRANDE PRAIRIE CATHOLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT#28 Principal s Message We start off the month of November with Saints Day. Studying the Saints and using their lives as a model will help us grow into the best versions of ourselves. Catholic Education Sunday is on November 4. Our students and staff have been reflecting on the gift of Catholic education. We do not take for granted our many opportunities to connect with God, pray and serve every single day. Sister Theresa Turcotte will visit the school on November 22 with her 53 foot trailer to share her faith through art. The junior high class will lead the Remembrance Day Memorial service in our gym on Friday, November 9 at 11:00 am. Everyone is welcome to attend. Report cards will be sent home on Friday November 16 with Parent-teacher interviews to be held on November 19 and 20 from 4-7 pm. To make an appointment with your child s teacher, please call Mrs. Alfred at the school office. This is an important time to connect with your child s teacher. We value parent involvement and open lines of communication. Mrs. Martin will also have the Scholastic Book Fair in the library on Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20 from 12:30 until 7:00pm. Once again, Ste. Marie families have been generously supporting local causes and helping our kids to grow in service. We sent 220.5 meals with FCC Drive Away Hunger. Grade 1&2 had a successful Sockotber campaign collecting socks. Grade 3 students sold cookies for their charity and Grade 6 con tinue to do their monthly movie nights for their local charity. Our students can also be found giving their time and talents to their friends at the Hospital and Lodge.
