INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS Tomorrow, Friday 5th September, our students will be participating in the McIvor Sports Athletics Carnival at Bendigo Athletics Complex, 60-66 Retreat Rd, Bendigo. This joint athletics carnival provides a great opportunity for all the primary school children to come together to have some fun and to help add to their house team points by having their best go in each event. We would love as many families as possible to come and support their children at this fun activity. Students travelling on the bus will need to be at school by 8.45am, as the bus will be leaving at 9.00am sharp The events will begin at 10.00am and finish at around 2.30pm. The bus is expected to be back at Heathcote PS by 3.15pm to enable our country bus travellers to catch their buses home at the normal times. BBQ FOR LUNCH TOMORROW Holy Rosary Parents Club are organising a BBQ at lunchtime tomorrow, so if you would like your child to purchase a sausage send some money along with them. The sausages approx. $2 each) Please also pack your child s drink bottle, playlunch and lunch to make sure they have enough to eat and drink. TRANSITION SESSIONS Next week, and at the end of Term 4, we will be conducting our 2015 Transition Program. Our first session will be next Monday 8th September from 2.00pm - 3.00pm and it will include a transition session for the preschool children as well as an information session for parents of preschool children. Some ideas for contents: lollies, stationery items, hair ties, matchbox cars, small toys, etc ATHLETIC SPORTS TOMORROW Friday, 5th September Bendigo Athletics Complex, Flora Hill Please ensure the Permission form for the Athletics Sports has been returned to the office. If your child is going by bus, $7.50 will need to be paid tomorrow morning. Students will need to wear a plain coloured t-shirt in their house colour on the day of the Athletic Sports. ALL BUS TRAVELLERS WILL NEED TO BE AT SCHOOL BY 8.45am, AS THE BUS WILL BE LEAVING AT 9.00am SHARP JUNIOR UNIT NEWS School Fair The Junior Unit is running the following activities at the School Fair: Treasure Map Popcorn Name the Teddy Show Bags We are looking for donations of unpopped popcorn kernels, bags of wrapped chocolates/ lollies, eg. Freddos, Smarties, Mini Tim Tams, etc. and pencils, pens, sharpeners, rulers, colouring sheets, etc. We will need helpers to man stalls on the day. Please let the Junior Unit teachers know if you are available for a short time on the day. Fair Raffle: FAIR RAFFLE We have had numerous donations for our Fair Raffle and hope to have several prizes of hampers, vouchers, etc. We would appreciate if families could try to sell a book of 10 tickets at $1.00 each. These will be sent home tomorrow. Please return books as soon as possible once sold or if you are unable to sell them. Drawn on Saturday, 13 September at approx. 2pm. Cake Stall: FAIR CAKE STALL On Monday we will be sending home an empty plate, plastic bag and ingredients sticker. We would love for every family to fill at least one plate and bring to school on Friday 12 September or on the day of the Fair. Thanks for your help in supporting our School Fair.

FAIR NEWS School Fair Plant Stall Please start thinking about potting up some cuttings or suitable plants for our Plant Stall at the Fair. All donations very welcome. Michele School Fair Second Hand Book Stall If you have any spare books at home that would be appropriate to donate to the school for our second hand book stall please bring them in. Thank you, Lauren Martin FAIR HELPERS NEEDED Thank you to those parents who have added their name to our roster of helpers. We still have many time slots to be filled so please see Kerry or Susy in the office or your child s classroom teacher, if you are able to help out on the day of the Fair. PARENTS CLUB HOT DRINKS FOR SALE Both Milo and Hot Chocolate will be available. Either will be with a sweet biscuit, for $1.00 each Friday lunch (except tomorrow, due to Athletics). Donations of cups would be greatly appreciated. SAUSAGE SIZZLE Sausage Sizzle this Saturday 6th of September at IGA in Heathcote. 9 am till 2 pm. Volunteers requested to help on the day. If anyone is available could they please let the Office know immediately. Thank you. SCHOOL FAIR Still looking for volunteers for the Dunking Machine for the Fair and Truck Show. Could any willing and brave individuals please let Kerry or Wendy know? NEXT MEETING Monday, 8th September at 9.20 am, after assembly. All welcome. UNIFORMS We will be placing another Uniform order to our supplier before the end of term, ready for the start of Term 4. If you would like to place an order please pick up an order form from the office and hand in before Monday, 14 September.
