Please ensure you adhere to the signage around the school when parking before and after school. CONDOLENCES Our thoughts and prayers are with Dasha Puris and her family. Sadly Dasha s father passed away last week. We also keep Helen Minear and her family in our prayers. Helen s brother passed away earlier this month. WORLD GRATITUDE DAY Friday, September 21 Tomorrow we celebrate this special day and are reminded of all we need to be grateful for in our lives. It is the perfect day to say, thank you to someone. In the afternoon we will be taking part in our RUN4FUN Colour Explosion run. The colours are symbolic of the gift of creation, the colours we see each time a rainbow appears. Sue will commence interviews of families next term. If your child is in year 2 or any other years and you would like them to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation next year please see me ASAP to do the paperwork. Catholic Charities and RUOK Day Last Thursday we began the day with Community Prayer around the themes of Catholic Charities and RUOK. Our CIA group-christians in Action- who work with Sara the youth minister led us in prayer. Between recess and lunch much fun was had by students and teachers. The stalls were set up and were all very busy, many stalls sold out in record time! It was lovely to see how excited the children were and how much they enjoyed participating-it was also a pleasure to see the older children helping the younger students. Thank you so much for your generosity as we raised the fantastic amount of $1200 which will be passed onto Catholic Charities. Children also wore a splash of yellow to celebrate RUOK day and participated in buddy activities during the day. Term 4 Swimming The swimming dates for term four are: Week 7 (26 30 November). Years 4 & 5 will be doing Surf Ed at Somerton Surf Life Saving Club and Reception to year 3s will be doing swimming at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Full details will be sent home early next term.
