Mission Statement: The purpose of the NH State Council Weekly Briefing is to provide to the membership, timely information from your State Officers, District Deputies, Directors, Chairman, Councils, and Assemblies of the NH State Council. The Goal is to provide short term, up-to-date newsworthy articles, notices, & communication, in cooperation with the NH State Council Granite Knight Newsletter and the NH State Council Website. The deadline for entries is Sunday afternoon. Submissions must be submitted to tjkingsley23@gmail.com and received by no later than 3:00 pm in order to prepare and submit timely for each Monday issue. Please plan your submission requests accordingly. Your article should be sent as a ready to go completed submission preferably in a Word Document. Membership Forum Hooksett 10/27/2018 To all GKs, Membership Directors, and DDs, The second of our Membership Forums is scheduled for Saturday, 10/27/18, in Hooksett. The Hooksett council Grand Knight Anthony Noce, has offered to host this gathering. It will be held at Holy Rosary Parish Hall, 21 Main St, Hooksett, NH and will run from 10am noon. This forum will be a Q & A format with no set agenda. We used this at the first Forum, in Dover and found it to be very interactive and productive. We ask that you bring your questions, problems, and concerns regarding your local membership recruitment and retention. What are your challenges and even share what has worked for you as well. We have accumulated a running list of the issues, concerns, problems and even successes to be shared with all. Our hope is, that by sharing these things together, we can provide guidance, suggestions, and solutions for GKs to take back to their councils to help improve or support their recruitment efforts. Please let us know if you will attend this forum by emailing Mark Messier by 10/22/18. It will help us to know how many are coming so we can plan for space and refreshments. Upcoming Degree Exemplifications: ALL FIRST DEGREES: Please contact First Degree Team Captain as soon as possible to inform him of candidates and number of spectators. Please do not delay in making arrangements for your candidates. The Degree will be cancelled unless enough candidates are registered by the Friday immediately preceding the scheduled date. The Degree Team reserves the right to limit the class size. The dress code is suit jacket and tie with appropriate footwear for all candidates and spectators. The principle of this degree is Charity, so let your council show their enthusiasm and support for these candidates by their attendance at this First Degree. All Knights who are Spectators must present a valid membership card in order to be admitted to the Degree Ceremonial. Pray the Rosary! My brother Knights, In the Admission Degree you all promised devotion to Mary and to her Rosary. It is imperative that you especially now pray the rosary for our Brotherhood, our families, our at risk children, and our country! We Knights have a special duty to promulgate this devotion. Please make special efforts, especially during the month of October, to lead your family and parish community in the saying of the rosary for peace and prosperity.
