2 Ohio 4-H Conference (formerly the Ohio Volunteer & Teen Conference) The 2014 Ohio Volunteer & Teen Conference will be held March 8 at the Columbus Convention Center. This is a great educational opportunity for 4-H Youth and 4-H Advisors. Transportation will not be provided this year. Brown County was unable to share the cost of the bus. For more information contact Kathy. Club Constitution All clubs must use the constitution template for 2014. The constitution needs to be approved by the club and submitted to the Extension Office by May 15 with the Annual report. All reports need to be received on time to remain a club in good standing. The Constitution needs to be approved every year by the club but, only needs to be turned in when changes are made. All specific requirements of the club may be written in the club by-laws. Advisor Fingerprints Starting in 2014 all club advisors will be required to be finger printed once every 4 years. If you work for an employer where you are regularly finger printed please contact Kathy and see if we can coincide those schedules. Jr. Leadership Club Youth 13 and older who enjoy leadership opportunities are invites to join the Junior Leadership Club. New Counselors will need 24 hours training and returning counselors need 20 hours. Junior Leadership members will be given priority.

May 18, 2014 from 12:00 4:00 p.m. at Canter s Cave 4-H Camp; 1362 Cave s Rd; Jackson, Ohio. Join us at this free event for food & outdoor activities! See attached flyer for additional information. Camp Counselor College Counselor College is open to any teen 14-18 who would like to be a camp counselor. Sessions are based on years of counseling experience. Classes will consist of some required sessions along with some electives! All sessions are interactive and most are hands-on. Come ready to participate, meet new friends from all over Ohio and have fun! Financial Summary The 4-H Club Financial Summary has been updated this year. The new form can be found at http://highland.osu.edu/topics/4-hyouth-development/forms/formsapplications#club-forms. Old forms will not be accepted. The form should cover the entire 2013 calendar year. Deadline for submission of the form to the OSU Extension, Highland County office has been extended to Monday, January 6, 2014.
Scholarship Opportunities 4 Highland County 4-H members are eligible for several county and state 4-H scholarships. The individual scholarship requirements are different. The 4-H Endowment, Fettro, Hudson, Five Point Implement and Tissot scholarships are due February 20, 2014.
