If you are running for an elected position, you must attend a MANDATORY meeting on Thursday March 10 th in room L112 ASVAB TESTING IN MARCH! If you are considering joining the Military or are simply interested in taking a Career test, sign up for the ASVAB. The ASVAB is an aptitude test that will show you strengths and what careers in which you might excel. The test will be held on Monday, March 14th at 7:45 AM. Stop by the College & Career Center to sign up and get more details. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, March 9th. SEAL OF BILITERACY: Applications for the Seal of BiLiteracy are available from Sra. Quinonez or Mrs. Cook. If you think you might qualify for this recognition, stop by and pick up an application. Applications are due MARCH 11, 2016 by 3:00pm NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! YOGURT CITY FUNDRAISER!! After finals on Thursday, head over to Yogurt City (next to little Caesar s) and grab a yogurt, hot chocolate, etc. and support the choir. ALL DAY 11am to 10pm!! This is for students that are planning on playing football next year (2016 Incoming Frosh 2017 Seniors). Our administrative team would like to cordially remind you about a few things that we have been seeing on campus that are against dress code: Baseball caps that are NOT official Antelope hats are not allowed to be worn on campus. Any sports jerseys or beanies are not allowed to be worn on campus. Pants with gaping holes above the knees are not to be worn on campus. We are going to be proactive in making sure our students are following our dress code expectations. If you need further clarification, please read through the Student Handbook that is posted online. If you have any questions, please see an administrator at the front office. Remember, there is always a reason why expectations are put in place; they are not just random ideas we come up with to make students upset. JUNIOR PROM ROYALTY Due to mid-terms, there will be a re-vote next Mon-Wednesday during your lunch. Be sure to nominate. Voting will be at prom. PENNIES FOR PATIENTS Keep an eye out for Pennies for Patient boxes in the college and career center, library, front office and L112. There will be two boxes, one for boys and one for girls. Help your team rack up points toward the rally by donating to the Luekima Limphoma Society SKATE NIGHT Tuesday, March 15 th join us at Foothill skate 7:00pm-9:00pm. it is $6 with ASB and $8 without. Attendance points will go towards the rally. MARCH COLLEGE MADNESS! It s almost March Titans! Seniors are starting to hear back from colleges, Juniors are starting to take the SAT and ACT, and everyone is getting excited about their schools! To show your pride, we will be having College Wednesdays in March. Every Wednesday, wear your college gear shirts, sweatshirts whatever you have to represent your schools of choice! NORCALS ROUND 1 Come out and support your girls and boys basketball teams this Saturday, March 12 th at Antelope High. Girls game will start at 6:00 pm and the boys will follow. Wear red and sit in the Red Zone for both games! Hope to see you there!!! ATTENTION ALL ADVANCED PLACEMENT STUDENTS! You may sign up for your AP Course exam that will be given in May. The testing schedule is on the web site and posted in the window of the Assistant Principal s office. To order the proper number of tests from the College Board it will be necessary for you to sign up as soon as possible. The cost is $92 for each exam taken. Students that qualify for free and reduced lunch may apply for a student fee reduction, but a form must be filled out and submitted for approval. Forms may be picked up from Mrs. Odd in the Assistant Principals office, and returned there as well for approval. The deadline to sign up for all exams including having your fee reduction forms turned in is Monday, March 18th NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have questions, please see Mr. Fernandes in the Assistant Principals office or call 916-726-1400 ext. 6060.

PERSONAL FINANCE COURSE AND SENIOR BALL Senior Ball tickets go on sale March 14 th. Seniors will not be sold senior ball tickets until they have successfully completed the RJUHSD Personal Finance course. For seniors, the computer lab will be opened during Intervention, the library is available every day, and computers will be available during SBAC testing. The class takes 10hrs to complete and this will give the students 7 more weeks to complete the course if they wish to go to Senior Ball. The quicker they complete, the cheaper the Senior Ball tickets are as well. TOY DRIVE Now-March 18 you can bring in an unused, non-plush toy for kids for Shriners hospital. They must be non-plush because they have to be dust free. There will be a box in front office to drop toys off in. SIERRA COLLEGE BOUND? Sierra College field trip scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th. We will leave AnHS @ 8:00am and return by 12:30pm (2nd lunch). Want to go? See Ms. Goudy in the Career Center to sign up. WAIT: Do you meet criteria to attend the field trip??? This is a great opportunity to learn more about the campus and a great civil rights activist. Please pick up and return permission slips to the front office. FIRE SCIENCE Anyone who is interested in taking Fire Science CTE (formerly ROP) next year, needs to submit a course request online at www.cteworks.com by Thursday, March 10th!
