The Waves of Pages Reading Program encourages students to read for pleasure by providing a chance to earn a FREE admission to Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels. Each student who reads for 10 hours (600 minutes) during the 10-week program is awarded a FREE admission to the waterpark as well as a special discount offer for their family members. Here s how it works: Teachers o Distribute the Student Materials to each student, discuss the Program Guidelines with them, and provide all program dates and deadlines. o Once the program has ended, gather all Reading Logs from the students, determine who has met the 10-hour requirement, record the names of these students on the Class Summary form, and return the Class Summary and Reading Log forms to the Program Coordinator by the deadline. o Once tickets are received, distribute the Waves of Pages tickets to your students prior to the end of the school year. o One teacher from each participating classroom receives a FREE admission ticket. Students o Take Student Materials home and share them with a parent or guardian. Log the number of minutes spent reading throughout the 10-week program on the Reading Log. o Once the 10-week program has ended, return the Reading Log to the teacher by the deadline.
