January 29, 2016 Dear Parents, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2016 is January 31 - February 6. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2016 is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service." Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation. Thank you to the Saint Paul School PTO for sponsoring storyteller Andrea Lovett and the Polynesian dancer at the Grade 6-8 South Pacific Oceania Cultural Fair. To thank all of you for all that you do, especially supporting Catholic education and Saint Paul School, I welcome you to join me for coffee and light refreshments on Wednesday at 8:30 am in the gymnasium. This is an informal event so feel free to stop in for 5 minutes or stay longer! Friday's Liturgy is being prepared by out newly inducted National Junior Honor Society members. It is a very special Liturgy as Bishop Dooher will be joining us. Sincerely Ms. Lisa M. Fasano, Principal SPS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Catholic Schools Week January 31 - February 5 Events at Saint Paul School for Catholic Schools Week are planned and include faith filled programs such as 2nd Grade First Penance and making Lunches for Fr.
