Spreading Hope in God s Community Dear Parents and Guardians, What a great weekend for St. Felicitas last weekend! Our Halloween Carnival was a huge success! Thank you to everyone for all your hard work to make it happen and thank you also for attending with your children! The kids had a blast and a big thank you to the 8 th grade for putting together the best haunted house yet! We also had our comedy night the following night featuring Mark Lundholm from the Class of 73! Great food and hilarious comedy! A huge thank you to the Class of 75 for organizing and all other alumni and parents that attended. Lots of Halloween fun was had by our students yesterday! Thank you to all parents who helped with Halloween activities! I am sending out another flyer for the Christmas Boutique in December. We are still looking for more vendors and would love for you to join us. Please see the vendor sheet attached and send it in ASAP if you are interested. Attached to the Blue Letter is a copy of the information. New this year, prizes for students who achieve sales goals! See the flyer for details! High School Placement Test Workshop If your middle school student is planning on attending a catholic high school, they must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Bishop O Dowd High School is offering a HSPT workshop for current 8th graders on December 1st. Additionally, if your student is in 7th grade they will be offering a practice HSPT test on April 6, 2019. Registration for both is required. See the Bishop O Dowd website for details. St. Vincent de Paul Outreach This year we are working with SVdP to collect money for the purchase of Turkeys for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. By giving just $1.00 we can make a difference! Please encourage your child to do some extra chores around the house to earn the dollar! Thank you! New Student Application for 2019-2020 The new student application link is now open for the 2019-2020 school year. Information is available for Preschool through 7th grade! School Planners for Sale Parents have asked if they can purchase a copy of the school planner that was distributed to the students. We do have some extras and they are available for $6.00 each in the school office. Mandatory Meeting Parent Education Night will be on Wednesday, November 14th at 7 pm. This is a mandatory meeting. A friendly reminder, if at least one parent does not attend, you will be charged. Falcon s Nest Schedule Just a reminder that Falcon s Nest will not be open for the afternoon of Tuesday, November 20th. Falcon s Nest will be open for the morning session only. We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. 7th Grade Volleyball is #1 Our 7th grade girls volleyball team participated in the St. Bede s Breast Cancer Volleyball tournament this past weekend. In addition to helping the cause of Breast Cancer, the girls showed their grit and resilience by making it to the Championship game and winning in an exciting 3 sets!! They have worked very hard to start the season and look forward to learning from the tournament as the CYO season kicks-off this Saturday. Congratulations Falcons!
