Dear Parent/Guardian May 2018 Activities week this year is taking place between the 9 and 13 of July 2018, culminating in the school s swimming gala on Saturday 14 July 2018. This year the week is particularly exciting and varied for the boys with many new opportunities for developing their personal and social skills. The list of activities is attached detailing timings, arrangements for lunch and suggested clothing that will be needed during the week. It is important you ensure that you and your son are aware of the timings for each day, paying particular attention to start and finish times for each activity. I hope he enjoys the activities week and that he takes full advantage of this experience. Please do not hesitate to contact either myself or the office for further details. Please note: If your son is a boarder, or receives free school meals, packed lunches will be provided. Any changes to the programme, including small changes to the timings of the days will be sent out via text, added to the parent bulletin and the show my homework notifications section. Please ensure you read this information in the time running up to activities week. Following feedback from students who attended activities week last year, we have added alternative provision Monday to Wednesday. This is for boys that find 5 days of active/team work style activities challenging or stressful. The alternative provision will vary slightly day to day, as students who attend will have time to complete art, photography and media studies activities. If your son wishes to attend the alternative provision he can speak with Mrs Blake and book himself on to the activity. In order to enable your child to participate in activities week please complete the consent form* and payment slip indicating your chosen method of payment and return to the finance office by Friday 15 June 2018. The cost this year will be 73. We would like to thank FOBSA for heavily subsidising this year s activities week, allowing us to keep the costs as low as possible. *Please note this form will cover all UK non-residential trips until JULY 2019 including activity week/ agriculture trips/horticulture trips/sports/weekend activities. Please contact the school office with any queries. Thank you for your continued support. Yours sincerely Luke Winter Deputy Head Teacher ACTIVITY WEEK Name I enclose a cheque for 73 I would like to pay 10 per week for 6 weeks plus 13 for one week I have paid via Schools Cash Office Please deduct 73 from my sons activity account (*please tick as appropriate) Signature of Parent/Guardian..
