Components of Written Test Test Components - Total 200 marks Time Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Test 2 hours Part A- Accounting -120 marks Part B - General Intelligence and awareness - 20 marks Part C - Arithmetic -- 20 marks Part D - General English - 20 marks Part E - Microsoft Excel -20 marks Date of Test, Venue and Time: 29 April 2018, Government Girls' Higher Secondary & Multipurpose School, Tezpur, 10 AM to 12 NOON Note: 1. The questions shall generally be on the minimum qualification level. 2. Each question will carry 1 mark. 3. There shall be negative mark of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Detailed Syllabus Part A- Accounting and Finance: The contents of this part include theory base of accounting and accounting standards. Accounting process, source document and vouchers for recording transactions, accounting concepts and conventions, Trial Balance, errors and their rectification, depreciation, reserves and provisions, financial statements, accounting of non-trading concerns, accounting from incomplete records, accounting of educational institutions, concepts of capital and revenue, basics of banking transactions, computerised accounting system etc. Part B - General Intelligence and Awareness: It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on sirnitarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, nonverbal series etc. This will also include testing of knowledge regarding general economic environment of the country. Part C - Arithmetic: This part will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc. Part D - General English: Candidates' understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. would be tested.
