Whe girl is deied her bsic right to eductio, it sets i motio series of chlleges tht will likely impct her for the rest of her life. Whe she does ot go to school, it is much more difficult for her to ccess iformtio bout helth, levig her uble to defed her right to sfe sex. This puts her t substtilly higher risk for HIV d other sexully trsmitted ifectios. Whe wom is illiterte, she fces obstcles to fully prticiptig i the civic life of her society, d very ofte cot vote or prticipte i the politicl process.
