2 ABOUT THE CONFERENCE PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES Case method of teaching has become ery popular among Business Schools across the globe. Case studies in class rooms enhance the decision making skill of students. The growth in case writers coupled with aailability of good cases has made B-School faculty to embrace case method of teaching. SONA Business case conference is first of its kind in South India to bring a comprehensie platform to discuss Case study teaching and writing in aried range of topics. OBJECTIVES To facilitate faculties and executies to present experiences and cases. All the case studies submitted will go through Double Blind Reiew Process by a panel of expert reiewers. Authors of the shortlisted cases will be informed. They will be inited to present their cases during the conference. Cases selected for further improement will receie feedback. All the selected case studies will be published in the form of ISBN numbered book from a reputed publisher. The winning cases and other eligible cases will be published in The Case Centre, a leading global case repository. their To help case writers to deelop their cases by feedback from reiewers and conference delegates. To train participants in deeloping cases and teaching notes to get published in leading case repositories and Journals. To equip participants with tools and methods of teaching and discussing a case in classroom. AWARDS AND CERTIFICATION 1. Best case writer award with a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- 2. Best young case writer award with a cash prize of Rs.5,000/- 3. Best student case writer award with a cash prize of Rs.3,000/- Certificate of participation will be gien to all those cases accepted and presented during the conference. CASE WRITING WORKSHOP This one day pre-conference workshop will be conducted for writers those who desire to learn and hone their case writing skills and to teach them effectiely. The sessions will be facilitated by experts affiliated to renowned institutions / organisations. CALL FOR CASE STUDIES Unpublished Business case studies are inited. Business cases are deeloped considering the issues pertaining to management functions, nature of the industry, cultural dimension, competition, and goernment policies. The data sources used for case deelopment can be of field research, published sources and generalised experiences. Considering these ideas the following themes are deeloped SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1. Manuscript should be in American English, A4 size MSword document with 2.9 cm. as left and right margin and 2.7 cm. as top and bottom margin. Font style-times New Roman and Font size The author(s) are required to submit an original and unpublished case study which has not been submitted or discussed in any preious conference of any public forum. 3. The cases can be based on primary or secondary data. The cases written with secondary data should mention all the sources of information and cases based on primary data must hae organisational consent. 4. Compact cases with 2 3 pages or cases with maximum 8-10 pages are preferred. 5. Fully finished cases should hae a comprehensie teaching note. Your Teaching note should hae details on Case synopsis, target group, Learning objecties, Teaching strategy, Discussion questions with detail analysis, Background reading, Area of the case, Highlights and key points of the case study.
