1 Putnam County Middle School Actions, Strategies, and Interventions Plan Putnam County Middle School, serving students in grades 6, 7, and 8, is located at 140 Sparta Highway in Eatonton, GA in the heart of Lake Country. Earning the Title I Reward School honor from the Governors Office of Student Achievement two years in a row, a designation reserved for schools that are among the highest 10% of Title I schools in academic progress of all students category, we average between 620 and 680 students with the following demographics: Black 44% Hispanic 7% Pacific Islander 1% Biracial 3% White 45% Students with Disabilities 16% Free and Reduced Lunch 82% The purpose of this actions, strategies, and interventions plan is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the school, so that greater numbers of students achieve proficiency in the core academic subjects. This plan provides a framework for analyzing problems, identifying underlying causes, and addressing instructional issues using state standardized achievement data disaggregated by subgroups and content area domains. The indicators identified within this plan are taken explicitly from the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI), a comprehensive school improvement, accountability, and communication platform for all educational stakeholders that will promote college and career readiness for all Georgia public school students.
