2 Prime Minister Shri Narendraa Modi exhorted people to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi's vision of Clean India. The 'Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan' (CLEAN INDIA MISSION) is a massive mass movement which was launched on 2nd October, 2014; the 145 th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi that seeks to create a Clean India within a period of 5 years. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart. A clean India will be the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150 th birth anniversary in Now the time has come to involve ourselves towards 'Swachhata' (cleanliness) of our motherland. Hon able Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi called for nationwide campaign involving all sections of the Society to create a mass awareness on the cleanliness. Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan exhorts people to devote 100 hours every year towards the cause of cleanliness. As many as nine public figures: Mridula Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, Shashi Tharoor, Anil Ambani, Kamal Hasan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Team Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma - have been invited by the PM to make a contribution towards Swachha Bharat, share the same on social media, and invite nine other people to do the same, hence forming a chain. People also asked to share their contributions on social media using the hash-tag #My Clean India. PLEDGE: We, the ARYANS, being responsible citizens of India took a pledge during for the Swachhata Abhiyan campaign called by our Hon ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi ensuring cleanliness of our mother land. - I take this pledge that I will remain committed towards cleanliness and devote time for this. I will spare 100 hours per year ie. Two hours per week to voluntarily work for cleanliness. I will neither litter nor let others litter I will initiate the quest for cleanliness with myself, my family, my locality, my village and my work place.

3 With this firm belief. I will propagate this message of Swachh Bharat Mission in villages and towns. I will encourage 100 other persons to take this pledge. I will endeavour to make them devote their 100 hours towards cleanliness. I am confident that every step I take towards cleanliness will help in making My Country clean. The campaign was initiated as Swachhata Pakhwada from the cleanliness drive of our Koira housing colony surrounding areas and nearby villages from 16th December 2017 to 31 st December All inmates participated in the campaign and transformed the area to a beautiful site which was a dream to think of and we are continuing this campaign. ACTIVITIES: The Campaign was initiated by Sri Satish Mohanty, GM-Geology & Envt and Sri. D.Patel, GM- R. Ray, Sr. Manager- Mines with active participation from Sri A. Samantaray, DGM-Survey, Sri Logistic, Mr. I.K. Saha, Manager-Mines, Sri S. Pradhan, Manager-Survey, Sri. Manoj Manaw, Manager-Mines, Sri Minaketan Naik, Manager-Geology & Envt, Sri N. Das, Manager-Electrical, Sri Sushant Mahanta, Asst. Manger-Geology & Envt, Sri Amit Singh, Environmental Officer, Sri Prakash Nayak- Asst. Manger-Stores, Sri P.C. Barik, Asst. Manager- Mechanical, Sri Sanjay Nayak, Asst. Manager-Accounts, Sri. S. Kar, Admin Officer and Sri C.S.P Srivastav and thirty other ARYAN inmates. Employees of have taken initiatives towards Swachhata Pakhwada and cleanliness drive to put the garbage, solid and liquid waste at the designated sites, prohibited use of polythenee and aware the public by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation and are committed to carry forward this endeavour in the coming days.

9 MISSION A CLEAN AND GREEN INDIA: Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan is not just about cleaning surroundings but also seeking the participation of people in planting tree, creating trash-free environment, providing sanitation facilities, creating awareness and paving a way for Swachha Bharat eventually. A Clean India is of utmost importance for promoting the Nation as an ideal destination for tourists from across the world. This campaign will not only help citizens adopt good habits of cleanliness but also boost our image as a Nation, sincerely working towards cleanliness. To fulfil the mission, the ARYAN inmates including the members of the ladies club took up plantation program within the Koira housing colony campus. In addition an awareness campaign was organised involving school children and ladies. A week long Swachhata Bharat Mission awareness camp was initiated at the Koira mining sector from 23rd February to 1st March The mission is being launched on the concept of Mahatma Gandhi s vision Sanitation is more important than independence Swachhata Abhiyan was commenced with Swachhata pledge by a group of people who not only get inspired but also inspire a common to get actively involved in the drive. Further a week long activities focussing mainly on the cleanliness of the local area, avoiding open defecation and use of dust bins for putting the garbage were carried out at Koira. Everyone realised the importance of Swachhata. During the Swachhata Abhiyan, AMTC has taken initiation to success the programme and made an action plan for different event at different places. 14 SWACHHATA INITIATIVES AT NARAYANPOSHI MINES: A massive Swachhata drive has been taken up involving the entire work forces including the contractor s. Mr. D. Patel, GM- Mining addressed the gathering highlighting on Swachha Bharat Mission and requested each member to devote hours for this noble awareness drive. Mr. S. Mohanty, GM-Geology & Envt emphasized that Swachhata be made a motto for each and every member starting with his own surrounding and each member should enlighten at least 9 people and so on, so that the mission be transformed to a MAAS MOVEMENT and the dream of Swachha Bharat be metamorphosed into a reality. We, at our Narayanposhi mines have taken lot of initiatives to put the garbage, solid and liquid waste at the designated sites, prohibited use of polythene and are committed to carry forward this endeavour in the coming days.
