3 LOGIN DETAILS Go to E-Learning portal : Log in: STUDENT ID (eg ) Password: will be informed by (student will change new password at 1 st log on) E-BOOK Students will have a permission to access to E-Book by using the access code. To find the E-Book on E Learning portal, please follow the steps: 1. Log on to E-Learning 2. Click on button All Courses 3. Click on Childcare 4. Scroll down to find Accessing your ebook, then click Connect registration 5. Follow the guideline in the powerpoint to get your ebook University Preparation College* Page 1 of 20

4 HOME PAGE This is where student can log in to Moodle by login details above When log into the student portal, click on MY COURSES, student will see the list of units which have been enrolled. Or, rolling down to the bottom of page, there are also enrolled units University Preparation College* Page 2 of 20

5 On the left and right corner, there is the menu button that lead you to go for more details. However, most important are My courses where you are studying Grades where you can see the result. University Preparation College* Page 3 of 20

6 UNIT PAGE In this page, student will see the Introduction of Unit, STUDENT FORUM and 3 buttons that are needed to be viewed and achieve. University Preparation College* Page 4 of 20

7 Button 1: About the unit This is an unit outcome information that student needs to view and understand Button 2: Learner Resources There are most relevant information relate to the Unit such as chart, references, picture and video University Preparation College* Page 5 of 20

8 Button 3: Learner Assessment There are 3 types of assessment that students need to complete. 1. Quiz multiple choice questions 2. Quiz assignment questions 3. Uploading documents assignment Before getting into those assessments, students have to accept the Assessment Information, review and post a discussion in Student Forum. 9 QUIZ multiple choice questions Each student will have 2 attempts in the Quiz and it is 100% to get Satisfactory, so all the questions need to be answered carefully. The highest score will be calculated. Firstly, Click on Preview quiz now University Preparation College* Page 7 of 20

10 Secondly, answer multiple choice questions by click on the correct answer. In multiple choice questions, students need to aware 2 type of question: 1. Select one or more: it means there are more than 1 answer need to be ticked 2. Select one: it means only 1 answer need to be ticked The question will be automatic saved after click on next page for next question. University Preparation College* Page 8 of 20

11 When go through all questions, student check any answered questions by click on the number on Quiz Navigation. Then click on finish attempt In this summary of attempt, it will show all answered question or not yet answered, so check carefully before click on submit Then click on submit again, or cancel to return and check answers. 12 After submit the Quiz, Student will receive the result which show correct or incorrect answers. If not getting 100% mark, student still has 1 more chance. In the second chance, student just redo the incorrect answers. University Preparation College* Page 10 of 20

13 QUIZ assignment questions It is same as the Quiz. However, the grade will be marked manually by teacher. All the questions will be displayed in 1 page. Note: To make sure the answers are saved, just click on finish attempt, then return to the attempt to continue. University Preparation College* Page 11 of 20

14 In the answer box, there are simple functions like Word Document to help student make the answers clearly. After finish, click on finish attempt on the Quiz navigation. University Preparation College* Page 12 of 20

15 After submitted and confirmed, the assignment will be notified to Teacher and waited for marking. Below picture is showed how the assignment is marked and given feedback from Teacher. University Preparation College* Page 13 of 20

16 Uploading documents assignment After finished logbook by hand writing and had feedback from supervisor, student needs to scan and submit by click on the blue Practical assessment. Click on add submission to attach the file University Preparation College* Page 14 of 20

17 To attach the file, student can drag and drop file to the blue arrow, or click on the folder icon on the top left corner. Then click on save changes If pick up a wrong file, Student is able to change another one by click on Edit submission. University Preparation College* Page 15 of 20

18 After submission and confirm the statement, student will no longer change any submitted files. Otherwise, contact to Teacher for any changes. After marking, Student will get notification and will see the mark and feedback file from Teacher. University Preparation College* Page 16 of 20

19 STUDENT FORUM This is where students can post questions, reply to the post or communicate with teachers. At beginning of unit page, the student forum will be located below the introduction. Click on the title Student forum to post a question Then, click on the button Add a new question The question has to be inputted by Subject and Message (content) University Preparation College* Page 17 of 20

20 After that, scroll down to the bottom and click on Post to forum The picture below is shown how the post look like in Student forum When anyone in the group click on the subject of question, they can see the content and also can reply to it. University Preparation College* Page 18 of 20

21 GRADEBOOK This is where students can see the results of all units. Click on the unit in My Course, then click on this course on the right corner of unit s name. There are the progress to show how far student achieve in this unit and the results in My Grades University Preparation College* Page 19 of 20

22 After click on My Grades, it will show the grades of each assessment that student has been graded. By click on Overview report, it will show the total result of entire unit. University Preparation College* Page 20 of 20
