LEADERSHIP TRAINING BY MARK STEVENS MAY
STEP 1 desire to ELEVATE 2
STEP 1: DESIRE TO ELEVATE You must have a burning desire to elevate to another level of growth in your business and life. Only those who become Next Level conscious ever achieve an Extraordinary Life of Freedom. The mind has to become thoroughly saturated with DESIRE to reach another LEVEL OF SUCCESS in every area of life. What are you willing to do and give for the Next Level of success? 3
STEP 1: DESIRE TO ELEVATE What is your strategy to get to the Next Level? Create a definite PLAN for taking your business and life to the Next Level. You may as well know, right here, that you can never reach High Levels of Success and achieve Great Wealth, unless you can work yourself into a red-hot heat of DESIRE for Freedom and Success and ACTUALLY BELIEVE you will possess it. 4
STEP 1: DESIRE TO ELEVATE DECLARE YOUR NEXT LEVEL 1. How much money do you want to earn on a monthly basis? 2. What level of recognition do you want to achieve? 3. What ONE major material item do you want to be able to purchase to celebrate your success? 4. What charitable organization will you give to, and how much, to show gratitude for your success? 5
STEP 1: DESIRE TO ELEVATE WORDS GIVE LIFE TO YOUR DECLARATION!!! YOU MUST SPEAK IT OUT LOUD!!! There is a difference between wishing for Next Level Success and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for the Next Level until they BELIEVE they can acquire it. The state of mind must be BELIEF, not mere hope or wishing. Open-mindedness is ESSENTIAL for BELIEF. NO LIMITS, NO BOUNDARIES!!! TURN YOUR DEFEATS INTO YOUR VICTORIES!!! GO AHEAD AND DREAM BIG The GREATEST achievements all started as just a DREAM. The oak sleeps in the acorn. The bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul, a waking angel stirs. DREAMS ARE THE SEEDLINGS OF REALITY. 6
STEP 2 UNSHAKEABLE FAITH 7
STEP 2: UNSHAKEABLE FAITH Faith comes from the deepest part of the spirit of humanity. It is strengthened by continual exposure to truth about who we are and who we were created to be. "EVERY PERSON IS WHO THEY ARE BECAUSE OF THE DOMINATING THOUGHTS WHICH THEY PERMIT TO OCCUPY THEIR MIND." Example of a Declaration of Faith: I declare a legacy of faith over my life and business. I declare that I will store up blessings for future generations. My life is marked by excellence and integrity. Because I m making the right choices and taking steps of faith to take my life to the Next Level, others will want to follow me. God s abundance is surrounding my life today. This is my declaration. 8
S T E P 2 : U N S H A K E A B L E FA I T H NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT I KNOW that I have the ability to achieve the objective of my purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, consistent action toward its attainment, and I here and now PROMISE to render such actions. FAITH requires ACTION What actions do you need to take? Somewhere in your being there lies this sleeping seed of achievement, if aroused and put into action, it would carry you to heights you may never have hoped to attain. 9
STEP 3 EMPOWER YOUR THOUGHTS 10
NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT ST EP 3: EM P OW ER YO U R T H O U G H TS Talk yourself into success Change your THOUGHTS Change your DIRECTION C h a n g e yo u r F U T U R E 11
STEP 3: EMPOWER YOUR THOUGHTS Dominating YOUR Thoughts What are your three dominating thoughts that stay with you day in and day out? Guarding YOUR Thoughts What thoughts and beliefs do your friends, relatives, acquaintances, your heritage, and your nation hold that you need to guard against? Reprogramming YOUR Thoughts What three destructive thoughts are in your mind that need to be removed? 12
ST EP 3: EM P OW ER YO U R T H O U G H TS NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT What three, constructive thoughts do you believe will empower you to the Next Level? These will replace the destructive thoughts in your mind. YOU ARE 100% IN CONTROL OF YOUR THOUGHTS The subconscious mind resembles a fertile garden. Weeds will grow in abundance if the seeds of a more desirable crop are not sown therin. You must take power over your thoughts or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of your mind. 13
STEP 3: EMPOWER YOUR THOUGHTS BELIEF WITH EMOTION When reading aloud your statements of desire, the mere reading of the words is of no consequence unless you mix EMOTION or FEELING with your words. Your desire to get to the Next Level has to have HEART - It must come from deep within. Plain, unemotional words do not influence the subconscious mind to TAKE ACTION. 14
STEP 4 E X P A N D YOUR KNOWLEDGE 15
STEP 4: EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE Knowledge about: The Product The Compensation Plan The Company SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Knowledge about: Strategy Team Building Developing Leaders "THE BEGINNING OF CREATING A SUCCESSFUL TRÉVO BUSINESS IS A COMMITMENT TO EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE. PEOPLE WHO SPEND THEIR SPARE TIME LEARNING NEW THINGS SELDOM REMAIN AT THE BOTTOM VERY LONG. THEIR ACTIONS DIRECT THEM TOWARD THE UPWARD CLIMB. THEY REMOVE MANY OBSTACLES FROM THEIR PATH, AND GAIN THE INTEREST OF THOSE WHO HAVE THE POWER TO PUT THEM ON TRACK TO THEIR NEXT LEVEL SUCCESS" HERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER: Knowledge will not attract success unless it is organized and intelligently directed through practical plans of action that lead to Next Level Success Knowledge without action is WORTHLESS ANYONE can gain the knowledge needed to become a Trévo Millionaire Successful people never stop acquiring specialized knowledge to EMPOWER themselves and their TEAM Never stop learning, so that you never stop going to the Next Level 16
STEP 5 E X P A N D YOUR VISION 17
STEP 5: EXPAND YOUR VISION Your only limitation, within reason, lies in your development and use of developing a bigger vision. You will never reach the end of your potential as long as you continue to develop your imagination. This allows you to expand your VISION for your FUTURE. 18
STEP 5: EXPAND YOUR VISION "Your DESIRE is ONLY A THOUGHT, with no real value, until it has been TRANSFORMED into a clear vision." 19
STEP 5: EXPAND YOUR VISION WHAT IF MONEY WERE NO OBJECT? What would you want to have or do? What would you become? GET CREATIVE Never settle for anything less than your deepest desires. Don t let people, circumstances, challenges, or past experiences limit your FUTURE. Your creativity and imagination may have become weak through inaction. It can be revived and made alert through use. It doesn t die, though it may become dormant through lack of use. 20
STEP 6 DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN 21
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN YOUR PLAN SHOULD INCLUDE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE YOU WILL NEED ON YOUR TEAM TO REACH THE NEXT LEVEL A LEADERSHIP TEAM YOUR TEAM BUILDING STRATEGY, PROMOTION, AND TRAINING 22
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN A QUITTER NEVER WINS, AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS Who is on your Leadership Team: "No INDIVIDUAL has sufficient experience, education, ability, and knowledge to ensure the Next Level success!" YOUR LEADERSHIP TEAM WILL CREATE THE LEGACY OF YOUR BUSINESS If the first plan which you put into action does not work successfully, replace it with a new plan; if this new plan fails to work, replace it with another, and so on, until you find a plan that does work. 23
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN STAGES OF NETWORK MARKETING 4?` 24
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN The BUILDING Stage This is the stage where you are doing the most productive things in this business, such as using and sharing your products, showing your opportunity, building for events, and teaching others to do the same. These are the things that will make you money in network marketing. 25
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN The MANAGEMENT Stage This is the stage where your main focus is on doing paperwork, reading commission statements, and figuring out how much more volume each distributor in your organization will have to create in order for you to make more money. You begin to slack off on personal activity and productivity; and start developing the Napoleon Complex (trying to boss others around). Your volume, of course, starts to slack off and you begin to move into stage three. 26
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN The QUESTIONING Stage Once your volume starts to decrease, because of your lack of personal activity and productivity, you start questioning the effectiveness of the business. You start doubting that the business can really provide what everyone has said: success, freedom and peace of mind for yourself and your loved ones. You start to think: Maybe there s a better system out there or a better company. After all, why else would your volume fall and your bonus checks decrease? It couldn t have anything to do with you. The people who stay in this stage long enough will move into stage four. 27
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN The CONDEMNING Stage This is when you start blaming the company, products, compensation plan, upline, etc for the drop in business within your organization. Most people don t even realize you have caused your own demise. Ultimately, most of your organization quits because they do not like having another boss, especially a negative and critical one. They say that they knew it would never work in the first place. Eventually you will give up on this business and begin searching for the next perfect opportunity, where this same scenario will repeat itself again. 28
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN What does all of this mean? The point of this discussion is simple. You want to remain in stage one of the business (The Building Stage) because that is where the GROWTH occurs. The other stages will cause frustration, lack of belief, and ultimately defeat in an industry that can give you everything you want, if you would just learn to PLAY BY THE RULES. 29
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN A PERSON IS NEVER DEFEATED, UNTIL THEY QUIT IN THEIR OWN MIND. LEADERSHIP CHARACTERISTICS: 1. UNWAVERING COURAGE AND CONFIDENCE 2. SELF-CONTROL 3. DECISIVENESS Which of these characteristics are you strong in? 4. EFFECTIVE PLANNING 5. THE HABIT OF OVERACHIEVING 6. A PLEASING PERSONALITY 7. SYMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING Which of these characteristics are you weak in? 8. WILLINGNESS TO ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY 9. COOPERATION ARE YOU A LEADER OR A FOLLOWER? 30
STEP 6: DEVELOP AND WORK YOUR PLAN 10 MAJOR CAUSES OF FAILURE IN LEADERSHIP INABILITY TO CREATE A SOLID PLAN UNWILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE HUMBLE SERVICE EXPECTATION OF PAY FOR WHAT THEY KNOW INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY DO FEAR OF COMPETITION FROM FOLLOWERS LACK OF VISION, CREATIVITY, AND IMAGINATION SELFISHNESS INTEMPERANCE DISLOYALTY EMPHASIS ON THE AUTHORITY OF LEADERSHIP EMPHASIS ON TITLE 31
STEP 7 PERSISTENCE 32
STEP 7: PERSISTENCE THESE THINGS STRENGTHEN PERSISTENCE: Clear Purpose Strong Desire Knowledge Cooperation Self-Reliance Willpower Solid Plan Habit 33
STEP 8 MAGNETISM 34
STEP 8: MAGNE TISM NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT 1. the handshake 2. the tone of voice 3. the posture of the body 35
STEP 8: MAGNE TISM NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT 4. the vibrations of thought 5. the appearance 6. the spirit 36
STEP 8: MAGNE TISM NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT 7. the authenticity 8. the energy 9. the personal example 37
NEXT LEVEL EMPOWERMENT STEP 9 POWERFUL M I N D 38
STEP 9: POWERFUL MIND FILL YOUR MIND WITH POSITIVE EMOTIONS FOCUS ON POSITIVE EMOTIONS Desire Faith Love Enthusiasm Hope Gratitude ELIMINATE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS Fear Jealousy Hatred Greed Anger Suspicion "Everything you create begins in the form of a thought. You create nothing if you do not first conceive it as a thought." "You cannot control the thoughts that come to your mind, but you can choose to reject any that would stop you from going to the Next Level." 39
The NEXT LEVEL requires dedication, discipline, hard work and systematic process. The NEXT LEVEL begins with you! When you create an atmosphere where your team believes the reward of moving upward to the Next Level is worth the effort, then you will ACHIEVE RESULTS beyond any you can envision. 40
