2 Zachary Auclair Long Island, NY Undergraduate: Stony Brook University (SUNY- Stony Brook) Degree: BE in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineer at Dayton T. Brown, Inc. Callie Barkley New York, NY Undergraduate: Quinnipiac University Degree: BA in Public Relations Account Executive at Edelman Public Relations At Edelman I manage account teams and promote Campbell's Soup, Triscuit, Wheat Thins and RITZ Crackers by planning events and communicating with the media regarding news about the company and their products. Marysia (Maria) Borucinsak- Begg Storrs, CT Undergraduate: University of Connecticut (UCONN) Degree: Environmental Studies with a minor in Human Rights Student Americorp (July-Dec 2016)- non-profit environmental conservation corp (Arizona, Texas, and other areas of the Southwest. Swimming instilled an ethic of hard work for the sake of self-growth at physical, emotional, and professional levels. It helped me gain confidence to make the decision of taking a semester off from school to work for a non profit environmental conservation corps and earn Americorps hours. Knowing that I am my own engine allowed me to independently pursue this experience both financially and logistically. I am someone who thrives on the moral that a pursuit, personal and/or professional, should be powered by genuine passion. This is why I felt I needed to take a break from school, because I did not have a solid image or goal at the end of my studies. So I had to experience working in the conservation field to instill a new sense of purpose when I returned to school. Merits do hold value, but hard work and devotion to yourself and the causes you believe in I think produces the most successful and amazing outcomes.
