2 Using EMS in Higher Education Events I want the greatest depth and breadth of functionality for managing my space and providing a great experience to my students, faculty and staff Classes I want to maximize the use of my classrooms, both for academic classes and for events or rentals during off-peak times 2

3 Why EMS Campus? As an Event or Facility Manager I want to see real-time, accurate availability of all space, including classrooms As a Registrar or Provost I want to maximize the utilization of my academic space and increase auxiliary revenue 3

4 History of EMS Campus Started in 1986 at CSU We have over 800 Higher Education customers Campus Planning Interface came in mid-2000 s In 2017, we assigned a product manager (me) to EMS Campus and all related components We ve been gathering enhancement requests for some time, and 4

6 Near-Term Roadmap for EMS Campus Enhanced resolve screen in the Optimizer Allow multi-building preference, with priority, on course and department level Full location write-back for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Analysis and Improvement of course synchronization 6

7 Enhanced Resolve Screen Current resolve screen is limited Bring functionality from the Academic Browser into resolve Sort, filter, re-order 7

8 Google Calendar Integration Many universities are now using the Google ecosystem Allow users to check availability of Google Calendar users and rooms in one place Quicker and more efficient booking process 8

9 Multi-Building Preference Many large schools don t want to set room and feature preferences Also don t want to go through large course catalogue to set these Add the ability to select more than one building preference on academic units which then applies to courses in those departments 9

10 Full Location Write-Back Specific to Campus Solutions customers Enhancing the EMS Campus write-back function for course locations Helpful for customers that use Campus Solutions for course location information 10

13 Campus Planning Interface Delegate a non-system admin to manage CPI accounts Specify which preferences your CPI users can set; don t want them flagging courses as Publish in SIS Room A complete overhaul of the CPI to modernize the technology, user experience, and consume EMS Platform Services 13

15 Automated Delivery of Academic Reports Schedule your statistical and utilization reports to be delivered on a regular interval to specified addresses Reduces need for access to and training on the desktop client for users who are only interested in academic reports Never worry about missing a reporting deadline 15

16 Student Information System Integrations Move all SIS integrations into EMS Platform Services Add support for Workday Student Add support for Ellucian Ethos allow EMS and Ellucian products to communicate via web services instead of direct database communication Campus Solutions Online 16

17 Final Exam Scheduling Improved ability to review room assignments For SIS s that have final exam tables, enable read/write functionality Pull in final exam schedule and let EMS find the right space If setting preferences in Campus Solutions, eliminate the need for duplicate effort 17
