1 Studio Rules All students must wear a cover-up over their dance wear to and from the studio. Dance shoes should not be worn outside of the building. There will be no food or gum permitted in the dance studio. Please do not leave any children unattended in the studio. No horseplay will be permitted in the studio. Dancers should arrive five minutes before scheduled class time and be picked up promptly after class. Please notify the studio if you will be late picking up your dancer. If you must pick your dancer up early from class, please send a written notice to the instructor and the instructor will dismiss the dancer from class. No parents allowed to disrupt the class. Teachers reserve the right to dismiss any student from class who continuously disrupts. Class Rules SMILE! All students should arrive to class on time. If a student arrives late, please be courteous to not disrupt and be as quiet as you can. Students should come into class fully prepared with hair properly secured and dance shoes on. All students must follow the SEDA dress code policy. No jewelry may be worn to class other than small earrings. There will be no gum permitted in the studio. NO FOOD ON MARLEY! Student must keep talking to a minimum. Any student who repeatedly disrupts the class will be dismissed from class. No smoking on premises. No T-shirts or sweats during class, unless teacher gives permission. Proper undergarments are required. Registration & Tuition Policies Registration is accepted on first come first serve basis. Classes will be closed to further enrollment once maximum capacity has been reached. An annual registration fee will be collected at time of enrollment. Initial payment will be collected at time of registration. General Policies Registration fees and tuition payments are non-refundable. There will be no prorating or refunds given due to missed classes. Each student is encouraged to make up missed classes in another appropriate leveled class. Withdrawing Policy: You must complete a drop form thirty-days prior to your upcoming tuition payment. You will be responsible for the next payment if you do not give a thirty-day written notice. Please be aware that no prorating or refunds will be issued due to withdrawing from classes.

2 Inclement Weather: Southern Elite Dance Academy will cancel classes when SEDA chooses to close due to inclement weather. We will send out an and post on Fb and Instagram. Safety Safety for your child is of our utmost concern. All young dancers must be escorted to and from the building. If a health condition exist which will prevent full participation, please notify Southern Elite Dance Academy in writing as soon as possible. No child will be allowed to leave the studio with anyone other than a parent unless with written notice from parent. Observation All children pay attention and are involved more in classes without parents observing. We want to encourage parents, friends and family to observe classes on the first week of every month. Please know your children are important to us and we want them all to learn, participate and enjoy classes. We will also have special dates during the year for observation. TUITION PAYMENT PLAN Tuition Is to be paid the first of each month. It will be considered late after the 5th and a $10.00 late fee will be automatically added. If tuition is not paid before the 1st of the next month, your child will be refused admission to class. SEDA will be closed for regular classes on the following days: 9/5, 11/23-11/26,12/19-12/31 and 4/10-4/14 Payments Southern Elite Dance Academy accepts payments by check, cash and credit cards (visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) Full Yearly Payment There will be a 5% discount given to any account paid in Full. August 29-May 26 Automatic Debit We now offer an automatic debit payment plan. If you feel like you are going to be late paying tuition this might be the solution. NO REFUNDS will be issued due to withdrawing from classes. NO REFUNDS for registration fees, tuition, recital fees or costumes, etc.

3 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Registration : A non-refundable fee of $35 per student is required yearly at time of registration. Additional family member discounts available. Payment of Fees: Tuition must be paid by one of the payment methods offered by Southern Elite Dance Academy. Tuition will be debited from your bank account on the 1st day of each month from Sept-May or charged to your credit card the 1st day of each month. Credit Card or bank debit payments are not accepted in-person monthly. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Southern Elite Dance Academy, LLC. All Tuition, registration fees, recital fees, costume fees, competition fees, recital tickets, and all fees associated with dance are non-refundable. SEDA does not pro-rate tuition. NSF: There is a NON SUFFICIENT FUND fee of $25.00 on all returned checks and debit/credit transactions that can not be made. Recital Fees: To help defray the cost of recital expenses such as the theater rental, technicians, special effects, props, sets, etc, a nonrefundable recital fee is due and will be deducted from your account January 1st. The recital fee will include 2 complimentary tickets per family to our Spring Performance. Cancelled Classes: Classes with less than five students may be cancelled, combined, or rescheduled at SEDA discretion. Withdrawals and Refunds: One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. If your child wishes to withdrawal that you must notify the director in person and complete a withdrawal form one month in advance, or you are responsible for that months tuition. All automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period. Classes with less than five students may be canceled, combined, or rescheduled at SEDA s discretion.

4 Schedule Changes: Changes to your child s schedule can be made up until November 1st; Thereafter, a charge of $10.00 will be applied to your account for each request made. There are no changes after February 1st and No drops after April 1st due to all the planning that goes into Recital. Business Matters: Must be directed to our office. To voice any concerns or questions with Director, you must make an appointment for a scheduled meeting or the director at SOUTHERNELITEDANCEACADEMY@GMAIL.COM No Instructor or Director is to be stopped before, after or during a dance class with questions. This takes away from scheduled classes and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Under no circumstance should a parent walk into a dance class room before, during or after a dance class. Thank you for understanding and this is what is BEST for our students! -THANK YOU! Extreme Weather or unexpected Interruption of Classes: If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the missed lessons will be added on to the end of the teaching year or added to a Sunday during the month missed. No refunds for lessons missed due these reasons will be given. Substitutions: The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made-up. Missed Lessons and Make-Up lessons: Absolutely no make-up lessons will be given for missed lessons unless absence is due to serious illness and 24 hour notice (phone or via ) has been given to the office. Make-up lessons will be limited to 2 per year and will require a doctor s note. No refunds or prorated tuition are given for missed classes. (School activities such as ski trips or programs, band trips, Spring Breaks that differ from our school s Spring Break, sports games, etc. do not qualify for make-up classes) You will need to fill out a Make-Up class form and hand it to the instructor.

DRESS CODE Tiny and Mini ballet/tap combo classes Any color solid leo, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, tan tap shoes. 1pc leo and skirt allowed. *Tan tights needed for end of the year recital. Tiny and Mini Jazz/tap combo and Acro classes Jazz/Tap- Any solid color leo worn with nude footless tights or solid dance leggings/capris. Tan tap shoes and nude jazz shoes. ACRO -Any color leggings worn with any solid color leo. NO shoes Petite and Junior classes Ballet/Pointe- pink convertible tights, any color leo, pink splitsole canvas ballet shoes and a black ballet skirt. DO NOT BUY POINTE SHOES WITHOUT TEACHER APPROVAL. Contemporary and ACRO- any leo worn with any color leggings or any leo with nude footless tights and solid color booty shorts. NO shoes. Lyrical/Jazz- any color leo, nude convertible tights, solid color booty shorts, nude eclipse shoes and black jazz shoes. Tap- Comfortable loose fitting clothes, black hard sole tap shoes. Teen and Company classes- Ballet/Pointe- pink seamed convertible tights, pink canvas split sole ballet shoes, any leo and a black ballet skirt. DO NOT BUY POINTE SHOES WITHOUT TEACHER APPROVAL. Contemporary and ACRO- any color leggings worn with any color crop top (supported undergarment top if needed) or any leo. Nude convertible tights worn with any leo and solid color booty shorts NO shoes.

6 Lyrical/Jazz- any color leo worn with nude convertible tights and solid color booty shorts. Or any leggins(capri or full length) worn with any leo or crop top. Please bring a shirt that you can dance in if you wear a crop top, so you will have a coverup if needed. *booty shorts may be worn over leo and tights. Nude eclipse shoes and any color Jazz shoe needed for this class. **COLOR of jazz shoe will be determined in March if needed for recital. Tap- Comfortable loose fitting clothing, black hard sole tap shoes. **Dance(booty) shorts are NOT allowed without tights! Thank you! **ALL BALLET CLASSES REQUIRE BALLET BUNS TO BE NEAT AND SECURED AT ALL TIMES!! All other classes hair should be up and secured to head. THANK YOU!!**
