QIUP is now offering scholarships to all eligible Malaysian students who are interested in pursuing Foundation, Diploma and Degree programmes. A. All fees due must be paid on due dates and in the event the application for the scholarship is successful, the relevant fees paid will be returned to the student. All decisions made by QIUP on matters pertaining to the scholarships shall be final. 2. The successful applicant will be required to sign a scholarship agreement with the University. Failure to sign this agreement will result in the scholarship being revoked. 3. QIUP reserves the right to revoke any scholarship due to failure in examinations, withdrawal from programme before completion and/or non-compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the University. 4. QIUP reserves the right to add, delete, alter, vary or amend the terms and conditions of the awards without any reference to the applicant. 5. Details on the criteria and eligibility for the said scholarship are indicated in Appendix.

6 J. DECLARATION BY APPLICANT I have read the terms and conditions of the scholarship and agree to abide by them. I am aware and understand that the Scholarship will be awarded in the form of fee waiver, subject to approval by QIUP at their own discretion. I also understand and accept the condition that QIUP will not issue the certificate immediately after completion of the Foundation programme. Upon completion of the said programme, I do hereby agree to pursue my undergraduate studies in any field and/or degree programme offered by QIUP. In the event that I am granted full or partial Scholarship Award and if I do not wish to continue my undergraduate studies in any field and/or degree programme offered by QIUP, I shall refund all of the Scholarship amount incurred for the Programme to QIUP in return for the certificate of completion of studies. 8 Appendix ( Updated 18/01/2018 for 2018 Intake ) A. CRITERIA, ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS FOR FOUNDATION & DIPLOMA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME No. Description Criteria Students must fulfill the minimum entry requirement for the Foundation and Diploma programme before applying. All scholarship applicants will be evaluated and shortlisted by the Scholarship Awards Committee of QIUP. The Committee reserves the right to change the criteria from time to time. Criteria for applicants : Eligibility & Academic Qualification Scholarship Duration Scholarship Amount 1. Applicants must be of Malaysian citizens. 2. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM ) or Ordinary Levels (O-Levels) with 3A s to 6A s; or other equivalent qualification. 3. Academic Achievement & Maintenance of Scholarship : Both Foundation and Diploma sponsored students must maintain a GPA of 3.00 every semester during their studies. Except for student for the Sports Scholarship Award, they must maintain a GPA of 2.50 every semester during their studies. 4. Failure to maintain / achieve the required grades as stipulated will result in withdrawal of the scholarship for the ensuing semester. The duration for the scholarship is as follows :- 1. For Foundation : One (1) academic year or 3 semester only. 2. For Diploma : Up to 2 ½ years or 5 semester only. Subject to the approval of the Scholarship Committee :- For Foundation Programme : % scholarship on the tuition fee will be awarded to student who has obtained 6A s or more in the stipulated entry requirement for this programme % scholarship on the tuition fee will be awarded to student who has obtained 3A s to 5A s; in the stipulated entry requirement for this programme The student is also required to pay a sum of RM2,000 (Within 14 days from date of approved application) as refundable deposit which will be used against the student s basic fee when registering for the undergraduate programme offered at QIUP after completion of the Foundation studies. Failure to do so will result in the revoke of the Scholarship Award to the student.. For Diploma Programme : % scholarship on the tuition fee will be awarded to student who has obtained 6A s or more in the stipulated entry requirement for this programme % scholarship on the tuition fee will be awarded to student who has obtained minimum 3A s to 5A s; in the stipulated entry requirement for this programme All other fees ( also known as Basic Fee ) related to the Foundation & Diploma programme must be paid by the student in FULL before the scholarship is awarded. 4. Other Criteria 5. Sports Scholarship For Foundation & Diploma Programme Successful applicants will be required to sign an agreement indicating that, upon completion of the Foundation Studies programme, the student will be required to enroll in any of the degree programmes at QIUP. Kindly ensure that before accepting this offer, the programme that the student plan to further study is available at QIUP. Applicants must also, not be in receipt of any other scholarship or award from any educational institutions or any other organizations / foundation. As this scholarship is given on a case to case basis; the requirement of 3A sto 6A s is not applicable but the students must fulfill the minimum entry requirement for the courses they intend to pursue. However, other terms and condition remains the same.

9 Appendix ( Updated 18/01/2018 for 2018 Intake ) B. CRITERIA, ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMME No Description Criteria 1 Eligibility 1. Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen. 2. Has completed STPM (or equivalent) or DIPLOMA from a recognised college or university by the Ministry Of Higher Education (MOHE) Requirements for Bachelor Degree Programmes 1. 3Bs at Principal in STPM (or equivalent) 2. Government Matriculation: CGPA: UEC: Grade B in 5 subjects 2 Academic Requirements 4. Diploma in related field CGPA: 2.75 (Minimum) 5. Any other equivalent qualifications. - Meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship - All scholarship applicants will be evaluated and short-listed by the scholarship Awards Committee of QIUP. The Committee reservesthe right to change the criteria from time to time. Requirement: Must maintain a GPA of 3.00 every semester. 3 Scholarship Duration 4 Scholarship Amount 5 Other Criteria 6 Sports Scholarship For Students With Foundation or Diploma Qualification The scholarship applies for the whole duration of the programme Scholarship covers only on the programme tuition fee. Applicants must not be in recipient of any other scholarship or award from any educational institution or any other organization / foundation. As this scholarship is given on a case to case basis; the requirement of the merit / academic achievement stipulated for the level of entry from foundation and diploma students; does not applicable but the students must fulfill the minimum entry requirement for the courses they intend to pursue. However, other terms and condition remains the same.
