2 General information Montpellier Business School s Bachelor of International Business Administration (BIBA) programme offers bespoke courses and foreign degrees on 4 continents. Admission to the BIBA programme is through a dedicated competitive examination. No age, nationality or physical fitness conditions are required to register for the competitive entrance examination. Applicants are allowed to apply for the programme only once in the same year and via only one channel. Regardless of the channel, no applicant may register for the competitive examinations more than three times. è An application- and interview-based recruitment method for holders of a foreign diploma: > Admission in the 1st year for holders of an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate (S, ES, L, STG...). > Admission in the 2nd year for holders, or those likely to be holders of, by 30 th September of the year of the competitive examination, an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate +1 (60 ECTS credits) or an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate +2 (120 ECTS credits) with a TOEFL score >80/120. > Admission in the 3rd year for holders, or those likely to be holders of, by 30 th September of the year of the competitive examination, an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate +2 (120 ECTS credits) with a TOEFL score >80/120. > Admission in the 4th year for holders, or those likely to be holders of, by 30 th September of the year of the competitive examination, an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate +3 (180 ECTS credits) with a TOEFL score >80/120. è A 4-part competitive examination: 1/ Send this properly completed application by post to: MONTPELLIER BUSINESS SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL COORDINATION Department International Application - Programme Bachelor 2300 Avenue des Moulins MONTPELLIER Cedex 4 - France or by to : apply2@montpellier-bs.com 2/ Upon receipt of your application, the admissions board will evaluate your application. If you are found to be eligible, you will receive an invitation for an admission interview. Application-based eligibility aims to select candidates based on their motivation, their skills profile and their personal and professional qualities. 3/ The admission tests take place on the School s campus, in Montpellier, or remotely (Internet, Skype), and include: > > A motivation interview including one part to discover the applicant s emotional skills and another part to discover their professional skills. > > An English oral test. > > 3 rd and 4 th year applicants must have a TOEFL score of at least 80/120. If not, on the day of the competitive examination, they must take a Proficiency Test and score a minimum of 70/100. 4/ You will receive your admission results by mail approximately three weeks after the competitive examination. In case of admission, you will be asked for a tuition fee deposit of 3,000. The deposit payment terms will be specified to you at a later stage. This deposit will be refunded in the event of: failure to obtain the equivalent of the French Baccalaureate (for a 1st year application); not obtaining 60 ECTS credits (for a 2nd year application); not obtaining 120 ECTS credits (for a 3rd year application); not obtaining 180 ECTS credits (for a 4th year application). For confirmation of registration on the Bachelor Programme, the deposit of 3,000 payable to Montpellier Business School (Excluding CERI applicants from Saint-Domingue and Dakar) is payable within 15 days of the publication of results. è Documents to be provided with the application: 1. A photocopy of a valid identity card/passport. 2. Two recent passport photographs (of which one should be attached to the form). 3. A curriculum vitae. 4. A photocopy of your diplomas. 5. A translation in French or in English for any diploma written in another language. The original copies of your diplomas will be asked for when you come to take the competitive examination. 6. Proof of a bank transfer for the amount of 120 or a French cheque made payable to Montpellier Business School (Excluding CERI applicants from Saint-Domingue and Dakar). This is to cover the competitive examination enrolment fee, and will not be refunded even if you cancel your application. Once the enrolment fee has been received, you will be given a registration number. 7. Each applicant must provide at least one letter of recommendation from any person who, in the exercise of their functions, may give a reasoned opinion on the applicant s personality. You will find an example letter of recommendation at the end of this application form. For a 1 st and 2 nd year application, applicants must provide: An evaluation of your French language level with a certificate issued by a French Alliance or a language study centre with a level of at least B1 on the scale of the Council of Europe. Note: some Campus France agencies require this certification to issue your visa and may even require a B2 level. You must therefore inquire beforehand with the agency in your country. For 3 rd year applications, applicants are required to have: Either a TOEFL score of at least 80/120. Or an IELTS score of at least 6/9. Or a Proficiency Test score of at least 70/100. è Tests: Eligibility test: Application form Admission tests: - Motivation and career plan interview - English oral/business test - Proficiency Test (at least 70/100). 3 How to prepare for the interview? The best way to prepare for this test is to think about situations you ve faced in the recent past (under 24 months), to determine the role you played and how it has helped you to change and to develop. Also, think about what your career plan could be and how the Programme can help you achieve it. è Discovery of the applicant s professional skills. The idea is to highlight the professional skills and attitudes of the applicant, who must present their past experience, or their medium-term career plans to the board. This plan must have a degree of consistency between the job profile in question, geographic mobility, skill prerequisites on certain features and the educational content of the curriculum. è The skills required are: A pro-active and structured approach, listening skills and an understanding of the entrepreneurial environment.
