2 Accreditation Update We are fully Accredited There are new and revised Standards that we must be in compliance The new ACCJC regime is looking at revised down the number of Standards (from 128 statements) The New ACCJC looks to support the Colleges not to sanction them

3 What has been done in last year? Follow-Up Report on Recommendation #1 (SLOs) sent to the ACCJC ACCJC Team Visited in April and reported that we now meet the Standards on this recommendation ACCJC Commission Awarded Chabot with a 7 year accreditation term from October 2015 to October 2022

4 Timeline For Accreditation : Advise the governance committees on their sections of the new Standards 2018 September 2019: Draft the Midterm Report on how the College has resolved all of the Recommendations and our Actionable Improvement Plans October 2019 Submit Midterm Report to the ACCJC January 2020: ACCJC Acts on our Midterm Report January 2021?: Start on the 2022 Institutional Self Evaluation Report October 2022: ACCJC team Visit

18 Recommendation 1 As was noted by the 2009 evaluation team, in order to meet the Standards, the team recommends that the College expedite the development, assessment, dialogue and improvement plans related to the course and program learning outcomes. The College needs to ensure that student learning outcomes for all courses and programs are clearly, accurately, and consistently available to students and the public in both print and electronic documents, including course syllabi and the catalog. (Standard II.A.1.c, II.A.2.c, II.A.2.e, II.A.2.f, II.A.2.i, II.A.6, II.A.6.c, ER 10, ER 19) and College Plan 2. Status: ACCJC accepted Follow-up Report

19 Recommendation 2 In order to improve its effectiveness, the College should document ongoing Service Area Outcomes (SAO) assessments and the appropriate measures implemented to improve services to students in all areas of the College. (I.B.3, I.B.5, II.B.3.a, II.B.3.b, II.B.3.c, II.B.4) Status: SLOAC committee merged into Outcomes and Assessment Committee. SAO included in Purpose Student Services and other department includes SAOs in Program review

20 Recommendation 3 To improve its effectiveness, the College needs to complete, document, and communicate the new shared governance structure and evaluate the effectiveness to make needed improvements. (Standards I.B.I, I.B.2, I.B.3, I.B.4, I.B.6, IV.A.I, IV.A.2, IV.A.3, IV.A.5, IV.B.2.a, IV.B.2.b, IV.B.2.d, IV.B.3.g) and College Plan 1 Status: New Governance Structure created and committees are meeting this year.

21 Recommendation 4 In order to improve its effectiveness, the College should evaluate its process for prioritization of classified staff positions and make modifications as needed. (III.A.2) Status: Classified Prioritization Committee formed.

22 Recommendation 5 In order to improve its effectiveness, the College should adopt a process for prioritization of administrative positions, and evaluate the effectiveness of that process. (III.A.2) Status: Administrator Prioritization Committee.

23 Recommendation 6 In order to improve its effectiveness, the College is urged to update their committee webpages to reflect current information. (Standards IV.A, IV.A.1, IV.A.2, IV.A.2.a) Status: New Governance committees formed and governance pages updated Webmaster Hired

24 Recommendation 7 In order to improve its effectiveness, the College needs to provide ongoing professional development for faculty, staff, and administrators to develop a clear understanding of the relationship between outcome assessment results, program review, and effective utilization of data for improvement of student learning to improve communication, innovation, and integrated planning processes and strengthen institutional effectiveness. (Standard I.B.3, I.B.6, II.A.2.e, II.A.2.i, II.A.6.c, III.A.5) Status: Included in the accepted Follow-up report.
