M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Programme, DRRMLIMS, Lucknow Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow established under the decision of UP legislative assembly and registered under the Societies registration act 21, 1880 bearing registration No. 1982, dated 4th Nov 2006, for starting 2 years of M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine Programme at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow under the affiliation of Lucknow University, Lucknow. The course shall be conducted at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, the degree shall be awarded by Lucknow University to the successful candidate. Eligibility: Age: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age, but should not be more than 35 completed years of age, as on 1 st July.Relaxation for reservation category (OBC/SC / ST) as per govt. of UP rules. High School certificate shall be considered as proof of age. 1

2 Candidate should be medically fit, and would need to pass a separate medical examination, as per rules and regulations of the Institute. Qualification Criteria: Candidate must possess minimum 60 per cent marks for general and OBC candidate ( 55 % marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in ( B.Sc. degree courses in Nuclear Medicine or B.Sc. degree in Physics or B.Sc. in allied/related subject i.e. Radio Diagnosis, Radiotherapy or B.Sc. in Life Sciences / Chemistry / Mathematics/ Statistics with Physics as a subject from recognized University). How to apply: The information brochure-cum-prospectus can be downloaded, and the online application form can be filled, from the Institute s website from 18 th May, onwards till the last date of submission. An online submission of fee Rs 1000/- plus bank charges must be submitted before filling of application form towards examination fee. The fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs 800/- plus bank charges. The application form is to be filled online and filled application form should be submitted online only. A print out of the completed application form must be taken and kept preserve for future use in case of any discrepancies arrive in due course of time. No application will be received by hand or via courier. The last date for the submission of completely filled application form will be 18th June, before 5:00 PM. Incomplete applications and/or applications submitted after the last date will be summarily rejected. The institute shall not be responsible for non-submission of any form in time due to server breakdown. The Director, DRRMLIMS reserves the right to reject any application without providing any reason and increase or decrease number of candidate for admission. A. Entrance examination: 1. Admissions are subject to a written qualifying entrance test. The test shall be of one & half hour duration, and shall contain 100 single best responses, multiple choice objective type questions. The number and distribution of different specialties will be designed in due course of time. Examination center shall be intimated in due course of time on the official website of the Institute. 2. The seats will be filled strictly on merit on the basis of marks secured by the candidate at the entrance examination. Entrance examination will be conducted in English language only. 2

3 3. The details of the question and answer pattern shall be in accordance with the Institute policy. 4. Application of candidate, who is willing to avail reservation, have to submit domicile Certificate of UP only, if not submitting any domicile certificate or having domicile of states/union territories other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as a general category Candidate. 5. The eligible candidates can download their admit cards online from the website 18 rd May. 6. Under exceptional circumstances, duplicate admit cards may be issued by the Institute, only to eligible candidates, 48 hours before, the day of the entrance examination. Note: The use of any of the following is prohibited during the examination: calculator, PDA, cellular phone, digital diary, laptop, pager, any computer/calculator-like material, Bluetooth, or any Bluetooth gadget, electronic watches, log table, chits, notebooks, any textual material, or any such similar item. There may be checking and frisking before admission into the examination hall, and if any candidate is caught with any of the aforementioned items, or is caught cheating, or otherwise interacting with any other candidate, his/her paper will be cancelled and appropriate legal action may be initiated. Date of Examination: 26 th June, Sunday, ; Time: 10:00AM-11:30 AM (Duration: 1.5 hours). Candidates should reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the exam. Admission Procedure: Llist of "qualified" candidates will be posted on website in the order of merit on 26 th June. The selected students will have to get admitted to the course immediately after counselling by paying the prescribed fee. Minimum qualifying marks will be kept as 50% for General /OBC Category candidates, and 5% relaxation to SC/ST candidates in the qualifying examination as per UP government rule. At the time of admission, selected candidates will be called to the institute and will be asked to furnish the following original documents along with the requisite fee for first Semester. Medical fitness A character certificate duly singed by Principal or Head of the school/ Gazetted Officer, which should have been made within six months of the date of admission (i.e. 01 th July ), will need to be submitted at the time of admission. Reserved candidates will be required to furnish a Caste Certificate duly issued by the competent authority in appropriate format. Two passport size colour photograph (taken within six months of the date of admission) should also be furnished. Any other document at the discretion and selection Committee.
