2 FOREWORD Community College at Govt. Polytechnic has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi under the scheme of NSQF for running Automobile Sector from Level III to Level V under Community College Scheme vide letter No. 3-24/DD damn/cc/35 dated 1 st Nov In compliance to All India Council for Technical Education instructions and State Govt. directions, Community College has been made functional from session in Automobile Sector and its Sub-Sectors namely Automobile Electrical & Electronics, Automobile Vehicle Testing & Automobile Engine Testing. For successful implementation of this scheme, a Memorandum of understanding has been signed with M/s Competent Automobile Co. Ltd. Gutkar, Distt. Mandi (H.P.) (Maruti Suzuki), Hi-Tech. Satluj Motors Pvt. Ltd. Lunapani, Distt. Mandi (H.P.) (Tata motors), Devbhoomi Automobile Gutkar Distt. Mandi (H.P) (Hyundai) & Simla Automobiles Bhangrotu Distt. Mandi (H.P) (Mahindra & Mahindra) who have been duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education as Skill Knowledge Provider (SKP s). Board of Management and Board of Studies have been duly constituted for proper planning, monitoring and implementation of Community College Scheme. After successful passing of NSQF Level III to Level V, the candidates will be awarded Diploma in Vocational Education by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board Dharmashala. -Sd- Principal Community College Govt. Please make sure that you are using the prescribed Application form Please fill the application form carefully. 2. Your application form must be completed in all respect. An incomplete application or application filled in a language other than English will be rejected. 3. The cost of the Prospectus is Non refundable. 4. The Institute has the right to amend /modify any inadvertent error in the prospectus. 5. The Candidate will have to personally attend the counseling along with all original certificates as per the schedule notified in the prospectus along with attested copy of all certificates. The rules / regulations in the prospectus can be changed any time without issuing any notice.

4 1. Minimum Eligibility Qualification/ Criteria NSQF Level-III i. Matric Pass with 35% Marks from recognized Board. OR ii Pass with NSQF LEVEL- 1 & 2 from recognized Board. 2. Procedure for getting admission / procedure for applying i. Interested candidates shall apply to Principal, Govt. Polytechnic, Sundernagar on prescribed application form within due date. ii. 20% of the seats are reserved for candidates having passed NSQF Level-1 & 2 certificate from recognized Board in each course failing which the seats will be filled from eligible Matriculate candidates. iii. Admission to different courses shall be based purely on merit basis. 3. Intake capacity for Admission to Automobile sector Level NSQF level-iii : Sub-sectors:- i. Auto Electrical & Electronics : 30 seats ii. Engine Testing : 35 seats iii. Vehicle Testing : 35 seats 4. Reservation for different categories. The seats will be filled up as per the following Reservation Roster (200 Points): i. Schedule caste : 22% ii. Schedule tribe : 5% iii. OBC : 18% iv. General Category : 55% 5. Academic Session and others. The academic session will start in August 2018 and will end in July All Gazetted and other holidays shall be applicable as per Govt. Calendar. The College authorities may however conduct classes on Sundays and holidays except National Holidays,if required. 6. Medium of Instructions &Examination The medium of teaching / instruction shall be in Hindi / English. 7. Examination Annual Examination shall be conducted by H.P.Takniki Shiksha Board during month of July or after completion of Prescribed Hours Every year. After successful completion of the course H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board will award certificate NSQF-Level-III (NCC-I).

5 8. Hours of attendance Class s timings will be w.e.f. 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and total 1000 hours in a year. However, the timings can be changed as per the availability of infrastructure facilities in the Institution. 9. Uniform For Boys: Summer: Winter Navy Blue shirt with insignia of community college & Navy Blue pant and Black shoes. : Dark Blue sweater ( full & half) with insignia of community college& black shoes. For Girls: Summer : Gazari Salwar & Kamiz,Blue Apron with Insignia with Black Shoes. Winter : 10. 6 11. General Rules and Regulation: i. The Candidate has to abide all the rules & regulations prescribed in the Institution. These rules are meant for the safety of candidates & can be changed at any time without any intimation. ii. Speaking loudly & Roaming here & there without any purpose is strictly prohibited. iii. Smoking, drinking, Playing of Cards in this institution is strictly prohibited. Any student found guilty will be fined and can be expelled from the Institution. iv. Late arrival in the classes will be viewed seriously and may lead to absence from the class. The students absent from classes will be Rs 1/Period or Rs 4/day. v. Institution will not be responsible for any loss of Personal Goods. vi. The Candidates are advised to be careful while working in workshops/labs. The Institution will not be responsible for any mis-happening / Accident if occurs while in Workshop /Labs. vii. The Candidates have to qualify the minimum 75% attendance in each Theory/Practical Class and Minimum 40% internal sessional criteria as prescribed by the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board failing which they will be debarred from appearing in the Board Examination. The Principal can condon maximum 10% of the shortage in attendance on the basis of medical grounds and genuine reasons. viii. Every candidate will be issued Identity Rs. 50/-. In the case of Loss of Identity card, he/she will have to inform the Authority concerned & Duplicate Identity card will be Rs. 100/-. ix. Boarding & lodging arrangements will have to be arranged by the candidate themselves. x. Ragging, Inside/outside the institution is an offence. As per the Himachal Pradesh Educational Institutions (Prohibition of ragging) Act-2009, every offence under this ordinance shall be cognizable, non-bail able and compoundable with the permission of Court. Any Student found indulged in ragging activities directly /indirectly, strict action will be taken against him/her as per law.

Polytechnic Sundernagar Distt Mandi, Himachal Pradesh for the Session Under The Aegis of All India Council of Technical Education ( NSQF) Scheme of G.O.I. Applications on Prescribed proforma are invited from the eligible candidates desirous to seek admission in NSQF Level -III course to be run in Automobile sector in its following sub- sectors each having duration of 1000 Hrs (one year duration) being started under the Community College Scheme at Govt Polytechnic Sundernagar Distt Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, for the Session S. Polytechnic Sundernagar on cash payment. At Govt Polytechnic Sundernagar For General Category Candidates : Rs. 150/- ( Rupees one Hundred fifty Only). For SC/ST/OBC Category candidates : Rs.100/- (Rupees hundred Only). Or through Bank draft drawn in favour of Principal Govt Polytechnic Sundernagar, payable at Sundernagar, if desired by post.
