5 TRANSCRIPTS & GRADUATION STATUS Pay close attention to Grad Requirements CP Requirements View your Portal account Review questions or concerns with your counselor during office hours Make your name on your transcript is written the same as any other legal documents. Be consistent!

7 NAVIANCE FAMILY CONNECTION 5 EASY STEPS FOR LOGGING IN TO NAVIANCE 1. Go to 2. Click on NAVIANCE logo (towards the top of the webpage) 3. At Welcome to Family Connection, enter your IHS network username. 4. Enter your password as your 9-digit permanent IHS I.D. number see below: Username is: 18LastnameFirstNam(8 letters of each) Password is : Permanent (long) student ID#. Save it as a favorite!

14 COLLEGE APPLICATIONS College applications will be found on individual college websites Some colleges require their own, unique application and some colleges require the Common Application Applications and application deadlines will vary CSU, UC and California Community Colleges require applications that are unique to each system

15 THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS LIST EVERY COLLEGE where you plan to apply on the Colleges I am applying to page of NAVIANCE. Details on HOW TO REQUEST AND PAY TRANSCRIPT FEES (PARCHMENT) are available outside of the Counseling Office and on the IHS Website. NOTE: CSU, UC and California Community Colleges do not require a transcript with your initial application. FEE WAIVERS ARE AVAILABLE. See Mrs. Klamberg during Office Hours.

18 RECOMMENDATIONS Many colleges require recommendations from counselors and teachers Recommendations are often also required for SCHOLARSHIP applications and other special programs Your request for any recommendation should be made IN PERSON! For colleges requiring the use of Common Application or other type of electronic application, it is acceptable for you to provide the name(s) of teacher(s) or counselor who you will ask to write a recommendation. However, your request for any recommendation should be made IN PERSON!
