Jani Contact iciame2016@gmail.com Website Detailed Report With the support and encouragement of Charutar Vidya Mandal, Mechatronics Department had successfully organized National Conference IME-2009 and International Conferences ICIAME-2013 and ICIAME To continue with the progress and to promote the research work Mechatronics department has organized this 3 rd International Conference on Innovations in Automation and Mechatronics Engineering 2016, ICIAME In the first National conference IME-2009, 30 research papers were submitted by the researchers and which reached upto 60 papers during ICIAME2013. While, this number was increased upto three times in ICIAME2014 in which 373 researchers submitted their research work. The proceedings of the conference were published in Procedia Technology, Elsevier. In ICIAME2016 total 202 research papers were received. These papers were submitted by 433 researchers of various prestigious technical institutes like Queen s university, Canada, Technical University of Hamburg, Germany, university of Trinidad and Tobago, East West University Bangladesh, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, IIT Indore, IISc Banglore, IIITdm Jabalpur, various NITs, BITS Pilani, BITs (Mesra, Ranchi), SVNIT, Surat, BVM Engineering College, MITS Gwalior, DAIICT Gandhinagar, PDPU, SGSIT Indore, along with various colleges of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Punjab, Chandigadh, etc

2 Conference Statistics The conference also got very good response from various research organizations like, DRDO, Pune, Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, L & T, Mumbai, to mention just a few. Thus, overwhelming response to our call-for-papers indicates the popularity of this conference and confirms that ICIAME2016 has become the world-wide forum for all aspects of science and technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, MEMS and Nano Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. The qualitative and quantitative interdisciplinary research work submitted by researchers has fulfilled the objective of the conference on Mechatronics Engineering. Each Paper was reviewed by maximum two reviewers of respective field. About 50 expert reviewers from various institutes of India and outside India helped in the review process. The organizing committee of ICIAME2016 is thankful to all the reviewers for their effort. Based on the reviewer s comments out of 202 papers 81 papers have been selected. Hence, the acceptance ratio is 41%. Finally 72 researchers presented their research in person. These papers were broadly divided in seven main tracks likes:

3 1. Mechanical Design 2. Machine Dynamics 3. Optimizations and Analysis 4. Manufacturing and Material Science 5. Thermal Engineering and Fluid Dynamics 6. Robotics and Automation 7. Electrical Engineering, Electronics and control All these papers were presented in fourteen technical sessions. All these presented papers will be published in the Journal of Procedia Technology of Elsevier. We are thankful to GUJCOST and Department of science and Technology, Government of Gujarat for providing us partial financial grant. The keynote speeches were delivered in ICIAME2016 by Professor Sondipon Adhikari of Swansea University, UK on Computational Methods for Nano mechanical Sensors and by Professor T Asokan, IIT Madras on Autonomy in Robotics myths and Facts.
