1 GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH A B S T R A C T Higher Education Department- C.M interaction One day workshop with the students of Universities in the state on "Global Competitiveness for Capacity Building" - Instructions - Issued HIGHER EDUCATION [UE] DEPARTMENT G.O.RT.No. 167 Dated: From the Secretary to CM, CMP.No.8266/Secy (MGS)/2018, Dated: Govt.letter.No.16021/88/UE/A1/2018, dt O R D E R: ****** The Hon ble Chief Minister desires to have interactions with Students from all universities in the state in each of the 13 districts, from August 2018 onwards as a part of one day workshop on "Global Competitiveness for Capacity Building". Students will be mobilized from across the district. 2. In this regard, Higher Education Department issues the following instructions : COMPOSITION : [1] Each state university/private shall identify sufficient number of students [atleast 5000] who are recipients of Prathiba Puraskar/Meritorious awards, Chandranna Udyoga Mela and achievers in the fields of Sports, Literature, Fine arts, etc. from each of the affiliated colleges and to take part in the programme. In addition to above, students have to be identified through various competitions (Essay writing, debates, etc.) at college level on the topics related to Global Competitiveness. These students will be sent to the Nodal in the district which is organizing the event [2] Technological Universities such as JNTU-A, JNTU-K and RGUKT shall form teams at district level to select the students by following the norms mentioned above from each of the affiliated college.

2 [3] As part of the interaction, Universities shall plan to provide stalls to exhibit achievements of the along with targets (short term, long term) and encourage students to display innovations, experiments through the stalls. EXPERTS : [4] Each has to identify at least two experts to address and motivate the students on Science and Technology, Global Competitiveness, Soft Skills, Current Affairs, Moral Values, etc during the programme LOGISTICS : [5] Universities and College authorities shall appoint faculty (at least two faculty from each college) incharge to take care of the students during the interaction. They will be transported to the venue and back and adequate arrangements for food and other arrangements like seating, shamiyana, refreshments and drinking water etc. would be made by the nodal university. [6] The respective Coordinators in consultations with Vice Chancellor, Registrars and Principals of affiliated colleges (Government, aided and affiliated and private) shall send their plan of action to the Secretary APSCHE, coordinator of the programme, by 1st August, [7]Nodal university ( as indicated for each dist in the annexure) in the district for this purpose will take all necessary action and APSHE would issue further instructions if required for smooth conduct of the event. [8] The respective District Collector will be the coordinator and Vice Chancellor (Nodal Univ) will be the Convenor for the above capacity building programme. In addition to above, 16 coordinators have already been identified from each of the university. (Coordinators details are provided in the annexure) [9] Initially Rs 1 district (total 13 cr.) would be deposited by APSCHE with the nodal university which is organizing the event in the district. The expenditure of the event will be borne in the ratio of 60 : 40 by APSCHE and the respective. The university will render accounts to APSCHE to claim their share. 3. All Vice-Chancellors of State Universities are requested to take further action accordingly and ensure that the event is a grand success.
