1 DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL -DWARKA Admission to Class XI [ ] (For External Candidates only) Registration for Admission to Class XI ( ) can only be done after the declaration of Class X results (CBSE) A few seats are available in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in Class XI ( ) for Day Scholars and Hostellers. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR REGISTRATION (CBSE/BOARD OTHER THAN CBSE) For Science/Commerce/Humanities Streams Category CBSE Other than CBSE Day Scholars & A2 Grade and above in all five 85% and above in all five Hostellers Scholastic subjects main subjects Admission Procedure Applicants can register ONLINE at from 0600 hrs of 24 May 2012 to 1600 hrs on 28 May 2012 Applicants belonging to EWS/Disadvantaged group may register offline by collecting the registration forms from the school on the above dates between 0900 hrs and 1200 hrs. SELECTION CRITERIA (Entrance Test followed by Interview) For Science Stream:- Entrance Test for Science Stream in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (if opted for) of 100 Marks (25 marks for each subject. The paper will consist of objective type questions. The duration of the test will be 1.30 hours/2.00 hrs (if opted for Biology) For Commerce Steam Entrance test in Mathematics (40 Marks) and Economics (20 Marks) The test will be of 60 marks. The paper will consist of objective type questions. The duration of the test will be hour. The question paper will be based on CBSE Class X Syllabus.

2 For Humanities Stream There will be no Entrance Test. Admission to the hostel will be for two academic sessions i.e and (Class XI & XII). No withdrawal from the hostel will be allowed during the above period. All hostellers have to pay the hostel fee in advance as per the details given below. Applicants from Delhi and NCR region will not be considered under Hosteller category. The Admission will be confirmed only after the verification of all the Original documents. All information with regard to admission will be communicated online and lists will be displayed on the school Notice Board. No individual intimation will be sent to the candidate. Fee Details (Applicable for General category students only) School Fee schedule (for both Day scholars and Hostellers) after admission has been granted: - A demand draft for Rs. 35,000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand only) in favour of Delhi Public School. Dwarka payable at New Delhi is to be submitted at the time of admission as the first installment and the balance amount will be paid in 02 equal installments. Hostel Fee schedule (Only for Hostellers):- A separate demand draft of Rs. 1,35,000/- be to submitted in favour of Delhi Public School. Dwarka payable at New Delhi towards the hostel fee for the year The balance amount will be paid in 02 installments. Documents and other essential items to be submitted (Only applicable to the candidates selected for admission) Enrolment Form for school duly filled and signed by the Parent and candidate (downloadable) Hostel Admission Form duly filled and signed by the Parent and candidate. (downloadable) A copy of Class X Board mark-sheet, duly attested. Original to be produced for verification. 04 passport size photographs of the candidate. 02 each of parents. Attested copy of valid Proof of residence. Original to be produced for verification.

4 Medical Fitness certificate duly signed by the Medical Officer. (downloadable) Character Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended. (downloadable) Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective zone. (to be submitted after the completion of admission process) General Instructions Seats in the school hostel are limited and will be granted only to meritorious students. Once admission is granted to the hostel, students will not be permitted to withdraw during the course of the academic session and No refund will be made during the mid-session. The school provides the transport facilities, but there is no guarantee that a seat in the school bus will be made available if buses are full to the capacity or do not ply in the area of residence. Transport once provided will not be discontinued during the academic session. The above mentioned schedule is subject to change, if the Board results are delayed. Any claim for the admission from the candidate will stand cancelled, if the candidate fails to follow the schedule mentioned without prior intimation and permission of the Principal. Registration of the candidate does not ensure admission. All decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding Regular classes will begin for all students of class XI (Day scholars and Hostellers) w.e.f. Monday, 02 July 2012 Only the online (for General Category) and Offline (for EWS Category) registration forms submitted from 24 May 2012 to 28 May 2012 will be considered as valid for admission to class XI ( ) All applications/letters received before 24 May 2012 for admission will be considered as null and void. The school will not entertain any request for change of stream after selection of admission. School reserves the right to change/amend any of the above mentioned schedule and criteria at any point of time, if required. Such changes will be displayed on the school website and all concerned are requested to keep checking the website.

If a student is allergic to any medicine or has a special medical history, please mention it in the medical certificate. c) School/hostel uniform requirements must be met by the parents. A list of articles of clothing and other items are mentioned in the Hostel Rules booklet. d) A letter of indemnity against any damage, sickness, accident etc caused in the course of normal functioning of the school. e) It is obligatory for the parents/local guardians to attend PTA meetings (PTA schedule is mentioned in the School Almanac) f) Parents/Local guardians are required to leave their telephone number and address in Delhi, for immediate contact, in case of any emergency. g) Both the local guardians should be present at the time of admission and reporting to the hostel. h) The No. of photographs as mentioned below must be submitted by the hostellers as part of the admission formalities.
