4 Types of centralised actions (1/2) Multilateral project aims to create concrete deliverables such as learning, testing and training materials, new curricula, strategy and policy documents developed jointly by a formal or informal grouping of organisations or institutions. Multilateral network aims to enable organisations with shared interests to work together on specific themes: strategic reflections, needs analyses, networking activities (i.e. digital educational services, educational support needs, education for specific groups). 4

5 Types of centralised actions (2/2) Accompanying measures are short-term or one-off activities that support awareness-raising and general objectives of the Programme (i.e. Conferences, seminars, publications). 7 KA1- Policy Co-operation and Innovation in Lifelong Learning Key Activity 1 aims to promote the quality and transparency of Member States education and training systems in fields covering two or more Sub Programmes. 7

10 KA2 Languages Key Activity 2 Languages complements the sectoral programmes by addressing language teaching and learning needs across two or more of those sectors. All languages are eligible under the programme. 10

14 KA3 ICT for Learning Key Activity 3 complements the sectoral programmes by promoting ICT for learning across and two or more of those sectors. 14

15 LLP - ICT Key Activity 3 To support the development of innovative ICT based content, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning. To complement ICT enhanced learning activities and projects under the sectoral programmes Comenius, Erasmus, Grundtvig and Leonardo da Vinci by addressing ICT teaching and learning needs across two or more of those sectors = TRANSVERSALITY. 15

18 KA4 - Dissemination and Exploitation of results Key Activity 4 helps to create an effective exploitation of results at local, sectoral, regional, national and European levels, in synergy with communication activities. 18

19 What is the difference between Accompanying Measures and KA4? KA4 is a transversal action: integrated approach across two or more LLP sectors and previous related programmes and it deals with project that have a broader impact than just a simple conference or publication Accompanying measures are within sectoral programmes (Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig) are specific to these programmes and they are of smaller scale and foresee punctual actions of dissemination 19

20 Priorities for Multilateral Projects 1. Activities to research and identify barriers to dissemination and exploitation and develop robust models for successful D&E of results; 2. Activities to assess the impact of results of D&E actions; 3. Transfer and implement results (multiplication) and/or mainstream them into policies; 20
