5 NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SAMITI, PATNA REGION Minutes of the Cluster Coordinators meeting held on & at NVS, RO, Patna A meeting of Cluster In-Charge Assistant Commissioners & Principal Coordinators was held on and at NVS, RO, Patna to discuss and finalise the issues as fixed in the agenda to prepare action plan for the academic session The meeting was presided over by Sh. Amanuallah Principal Initiating the discussion the Deputy Commissioner, NVS, RO, Patna expressed his gratitude to the Principals and Staff of the Vidyalayas for their whole hearted cooperation in successfully conducting the Home Examination as well as Pre-Board and Board Exams in the Vidyalayas. He further advised the Principals to overcome the short-comings, if any, during the current session for the overall growth of the Vidyalayas. 5

6 After that Smt. K. Chandra, AC (S. Admin.), NVS, RO, Patna read out the agenda fixed for the meeting and introduced the Clusters as formed for the session (The list and map are enclosed at Annexure 1) OUTCOME OF DISCUSSION The agenda fixed & its Outcome as discussed in the meeting are given below- Item Agenda Decision No. 01 Preparation of daily routine a) Daily routine for summer and winter was prepared and confirmed.the same is enclosed at Annexure-2 02 Time table including Remedial and supervised study. 03 Lateral entry in class IX & XI with migration. 04 CCA, Art Education, Safety & Security & Crisis management. 05 ECA (Scout & Guide) & NCC,Games& Sports 06 Introduction of Computer Science & Bio-technology 07 CCE including home examination, Unit tests a) It was decided that a common schedule would be prepared and circulated to the Vidyalayas from Regional Office. a) The list of mini migration adjustment for the session was prepared and incorporated. b) Lateral entry test has to be conducted as per the guidelines of Samiti. c) The names of teachers has to be submitted to RO for the purpose of evaluation work. d) A CD consisting of the name of the candidate parent name sex, age. DOB (in the form of pro forma) should be submitted to RO in order to facilitate the timely Publication of result. a) Calendar of CCA schedule of Art education, guideless on safety and security and crisis management was prepared. b) Venue and dates for clusters & regional level Art education Competition level will be circulated later. c) Further details are enclosed at Annexure 3. a) Strategies and guidelines on this issue was discussed and enclosed at Annexure 4. b) Further calendar will be prepared with the help of PETs at RO Level later by A.C(Acad.) a) The Computer Science and Bio-technology will be introduced in some other Vidyalayas also during the current session to enable the students to opt these subjects. b) Necessary details will be issued later. a) It was felt that Exam, Tests being an important area needs proper planning and execution. The committee discussed and prepared guidelines on this issue which is enclosed at Annexure-5. 6

7 08 Timely submission of requirement of text Books. 09 Teachers diary and Students diary. 10 Methodology of selection of students for Computer Sc. And Bio-technology a) It was decided that the requirement of text books must be submitted to RO positively by for the next session in the pro-forma provided during the previous session. a) It has been decided to prepare teachers diary & students diary at RO level which will be provided to the Vidyalayas. Action by A.C (P & E ) a) The point was discussed and it was decided that admission in these subjects will be made and finalized by the Principals as per rules proscribed by Samiti,HQrs. 11 Admission of Class VI a) Strategies for checking impersonation, enhancing the registration and attracting the children of Madarsa to appear in JNVST was prepared and incorporated at Annexure Pace setting Activities a) It was felt that Pace Setting activities and innovative activities being an important area needs to be given proper care as such Vidyalayas have to organize at least 10 activities each under pacesetting & innovative activities. The details in this regard is enclosed at Annexure To define the role of Art, Music, SUPW & PET teachers. 14. Discussion on JNVs having problems ADMINISTRATION:- 01. Attendance of students at different level on safety & security. 02 Summer and Winter Vacation 03. Distribution of Daily Use Items in the I Week and purchase & stitching of uniform on time a) It was further decided that besides their own duties of Job, they would further offer their services in other areas of Vidyalaya like preparation of teaching aids, decoration of campus, mess and discipline. a) The problems being faced by the Vidyalayas were discussed. List of JNVs may be prepared by A.C(S.A) a) It was decided that the attendance of students would be taken at least five times in a day by teachers / HMs and the same should be put up to the Principal for verification on day to day basis. Details are enclosed at annexure-8. a) Details in this regards has already been issued to the schools however a copy of the same is enclosed at annexure -9. a) It was decided that the daily use items would be issued to the students in the first week of every month. b) It was further decided that the items & quantity to be issued would be decided at RO level furthermore uniforms should be provided to the students as soon as the school re opens after summer vacation. 7

8 CONSTRUCTION:- 01. Maintenance and repair work a) It was suggested that the M&R work would be undertaken as per the instruction issued from time to time from RO. A detailed guidelines in this regards have been issued to the Vidyalayas. b) Principals must ensure that the Vidyalaya should have better outlook when the school reopens after summer vacation. FINANCE:- 01 Finalization of tender a ) It was decided that the tender for the session would be finalized during the summer vacation.15 th Jun,2006 should be the last date for this work. 02. Condemnation:- a) It was further decided that the items required to be condemned must be finalized as per the guidelines of Samiti immediately after annual stock verification in April,2006. PERSONNEL 01 No. of vacant post of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. 02. Arrangement to fill up the post of teachers on contract /part time basis. 03. Transfer of Teaching & Non- Teaching staff. a ) Point was discussed and incorporated.after doing all settlement it would be ensured that all vacancies must be fulfilled before 30 th June,2006. a) It was decided that no post of teaching staff should remain vacant. The contract teachers should be allowed to work till a) To be decided by NVS,RO,Patna in consultation with NVS,Hqrs. It was further decided that a committee comprising of ACs as Chairman and Co- ordinators Cum Conveners, Two Principals, Two PGTs, OneTGTs and Two Miscellaneous category teachers one from each cluster of the Asstt. 9 PERSPECTIVE PLANNING FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR It has been decided to conduct all annual repetitive activities in such a planned manner that these are completed well in advance at the beginnings of academic session itself so that these do not divert our energy and attention from areas which require qualitative improvement and the Vidyalaya are able to continue with their normal Activities once the academic session starts. S.N. Activity Schedule and Responsibility 1. Bandobast Stock taking in the last week of March,06 activities before Condemnation of un-serviceable stores Requisition for fresh stores and their consolidation. Completion of tendering process for replenishment of stores, timely procurement of provisions, students entitlements, text books, stationery items, furniture and bedding items. Preparation of inventories of furniture, electric fixtures, water plants required in the academic block viz classrooms, library, laboratories, art room, music room etc. Admn block including MP Hall, students hostels viz dormitories, dining area viz dining hall, kitchen and staff quarters. Identification of areas which require mason work, carpenter services and electrician help for effective maintenance of various units of the vidyalaya. Preparation of institutional plan including school calendar. Completion of admission process of class VI and class IX (Lateral entry) Reservation for students on migration so that they reach the linked vidyalaya on first of June Analysis of CBSE results. Identification of class wise weak students based on their performances at Annual examination. 2 Mini Migration Regional Office has finalized the academic streams based on the results of national pre board examination held in the month of January. Addition/ Deletion and up-gradation of the vidyalayas have already been communicated. The parent vidyalayas where a particular stream(s) are not available will communicate to the linked vidyalaya for minimigration the names of the students who will be migrating in order to make required arrangements for the stay and studies. The linked vidyalaya is 9

10 responsible to provide text books, stationery, uniform and other daily need items to the students on mini migration at par with students of their own vidyalaya. It will be the responsibility of all the Principals to ensure that regular classes for class XI commence with full strength on 1 st April as communicated earlier also. 3 Migration The Principal will identify students for migration. It is strongly felt that all out sincere efforts will be made to motivate the students for migration by highlighting the need and importance of higher values like National integration and other educational values attached to this activity of the school. Each vidyalaya will prepare a directory highlighting the historical importance of the district and other salient features of the district and send the same to linked JNV for observation and appreciation of students under migration. The Principals will also ensure that the reservation of tickets is formalized by and the escorts are identified and informed in time. The migrated students will be provided beds, gaddas, bed sheets and other items on their arrival so that they are comfortably rehabilitated. The students ear marked for migration will bring with them uniforms and text books. The daily need items will be provided at par with the parent JNV. The status report of migrated students must reach to RO by Admission process for class VI a. Finalization of results and dispatch of select list. b. Completion of scrutiny of the selected candidates, notification and issue of instructions. c. Admission of students. d. Compilation of vacant seats, category wise by Regions and submission to Hqrs. e. Obtaining supplementary list against the vacant seats and dispatch to R.O. f. Notification for supplementary names and admission of the children. g. Compilation of second list of vacant seats by RO and sending to Hqrs for release of second supplementary list. h. 11 The list will be operated twice only against vacancies in the original admission. 5 Lateral entry in class IX 6 Coverage of syllabus and conduct of various examinations 7 Internal Board of NVS 8 Computer Education Programme a. Notification, printing of applications, publicity etc. b. Late date of receipt of applications, scrutiny etc. c. Conduct of test for lateral entry for class IX d. Declaration of result of examination for lateral entry in class IX e. Completion of admission process for selected children. The split up of syllabus has been prepared and being circulated separately. It has been decided to cover 100% syllabus of Board classes by 30 th Nov 2006 and other classes by 15 th Feb This planning will provide sufficient time for the students to revise their syllabus. The students and teacher will have no excuse for lack of time to revise the covered syllabus. Testing schedule is enclosed separately. Following action points have been envisaged: a. Conduct of common examination for non board classes at regional level. b. Evaluation of answer sheets, cluster wise. c. Analysis of the common board examination results. d. Identification of teachers those performance is not satisfactory. e. Issue of appreciation/ explanation letters according to their performance. f. Identification of weak students in each class and conduct of crash programme in the first half of April 2006 to make up their deficiency. a. Efforts will be made to integrate Information Technology in the computer aided education. Vidyalayas will focus on computer literacy programme. Computer supported lesson planning, computer aided teaching and connectivity among schools and expansion of computer literacy to neighbourhood schools. b. Each smart school of the state would function as a nodal school for promotion of computer aided education and similar activities in the state concerned. c. With the assistance of Microsoft will act as 11

12 nodal centre and to conduct training for teachers and coordinating the VSAT connected schools in the region attached to it. d. In collaboration with Intel, the training of teachers of smart schools and development of computer aided technology in the schools will be implemented. e. To identify one teacher in each subject in each region who has got adequate knowledge of computer for conducting the training programme and developing Navodaya software for implementation. f. The AC (Acad) who is overall incharge of computer education should closely monitor all projects related to computer education and ensure that every school optimally utilizes the computers, VSAT connectivity, Smart school projects, neighborhood community project, opening of web site for each and every JNV in the region g. RO will collect information from time to time on following areas: No. of JNVs covered under CEP. No. of JNVs where CEP fully implemented. No. of JNVs having their own website. Total no. of teachers in each JNV. Total no. of teachers using computer as teaching aids. Percentage of teaching being done through computer. No. of neighborhood schools covered under CEP. 9 Training of teachers 10 Deployment of Faculty cum System Administrator 11 Functioning of Parents teacher counsel As circulated by NVS, Hqrs. (Schedule will be issued separately by RO) NVS, Hqrs vide its letter no. 2-25/2002- NVS (EDP) dated 29 th March 2006 has allowed deployment of Faculty Cum System Administrator who were initially appointed on contract basis in JNVs (on year to year basis), on fresh contract, if they are doing good work, for another one year or earlier at the discretion of the Samiti. Keeping in view Law & Order problems in some of the JNVs, it has been considered pertinent that parents teachers counsels are to be activated. It is mandatory for every vidyalaya to conduct PTC meeting every month during which the parents are 12

13 inspired, motivated and encouraged to meet their wards. During these meetings the parents & teachers together discuss the performance of students. The vidyalaya will also apprise the PTC about the various development and activities taken. The AC Cluster Incharge will ensure a regular holding of PTC. They will also provide feedback to RO and suggestions thereof. 12 Safety & Security RO has already circulated the dire need of implementation of 10 points programme for insuring safety & security of the students. All the JNVs will send monthly report on the implementation of 10 points programme. The feedback received from the JNV will be complied by AC (Admn) for onward transmission to NVS, Hqrs. 13 Availability of teachers 14 Organization and conduct of Co curricular activities All the vacant posts will be filled up by by appointing contract teachers. To maintain continuity in organization, co-currucilar activities with a view for inculcation of sound educational values and also to ensure broad participation, the co-curricular activities have been divided into four broad areas viz science talent promotion, communication skills, information technology and performing arts. These activities will be organized on weekly basis on section level, class level, dormitory level, house level, inter house level, cluster level and regional level. The vidyalaya will work out the details of activities to be performed under the heads as specified above. The Principal at his level will monitor the progress laid by at all levels and keep a record of the same to inform the A.C Cluster Incharge. Cluster Incharge will maintain the records to inform Dy. Commissioner. AC will draw out the list of activities for their cluster by holding a meeting of task force which will constitute a couple of Principal from the cluster who have liking for Co-curricular activities. In order to complement and supplement scholastic and non scholastic activities, it has been decided to re-organize limited co-curricular activities. a. Science talent promotion and developing scientific spirit : In order to encourage the qualities of scientific outlook in all the students of the Navodaya Vidyalayas, it has been decided that every first week of the month starting from July to December for a period of six months should earmarked to concentrate on 13

14 the science promotion programmes should be organized house wise, class wise, group wise or capacity wise. All the students participate in science promotion activities in a moderate scale within the campus. They may include science quiz competitions, exhibitions, exposure to the works of scientists, assignments of projects, reading science reference books and any other related activity. On the Saturday, towards the end of the week, substantial number of programme should be organized as the final activity of the week. All these activities organized throughout the week should be properly documented with details of participation and number of students. b. Activities related to improvement of communication skills : The second week of the month for focus on co-curricular activities which help the children to improve their language skills, oration, extempore speech, pronunciation, writing, translation, creativity and poetry recitation, story telling etc. should be organized to enable the students to improve their communication skills. The last day of the week i.e, Saturday can be utilized for repeating some of the best activities, organized in the week. All such material and programmes should be properly documented with details of participation of students. c. Information technology and team work: The objectives of integrating computer technology as one of the main source of teaching and learning. Importance of use of teaching aids and creative activities should focus the cocurricular activities in the third week. The activities may include conducting competitions on the computer monitoring, computer magazines, computer games, internet and web surfing skills, preparation of teaching aids and other related activities. This week should be utilized for assigning responsibilities to teams of the ten students for maintenance of building, cleanliness of the campus, plantation of trees, special programmes for neighbourhood communities, social service, NSS, Scouts & NCC activities. Highlights of these programmes should be repeated on the last day of the week i.e, Saturday. Proper documentation of the 14

15 activities of entire week along with total number of participants should be prepared. d. Promotion of performing arts: The fourth week of the month should be utilized for conducting activities for promotion of aesthetics, creativity and performing arts. This shall include competitions of painting, dance, drama, one act play, exhibitions, creative writing and other related activities. Each and every child should be encouraged to participate in these activities throughout the week. If the co-curricular activities are organized in a systematic and schematic manner, as mentioned above, they would create desired impact, ensure total participation of all the students, help the institution to improve the levels of performance of its students and also will create a great deal of competitive spirit and self confidence leading for excellence in the attitude and personalities of the children. Besides, this will also keep the children constructively busy, enjoying the benefits of these programmes. The teachers should also develop their personality to face the intellectual and social challenges of organization of such programmes. 15 Youth Parliament It is mandatory for all the JNVs to organize youth parliament in the vidyalaya. All JNVs will hold Youth parliament in month of September The Principal will ensure that the incharge teachers go through the art and science of conducting youth parliament for which sufficient literature will be available in the vidyalayas. At no stage casual attitude will be shown for the conduct of this activity. Date of Youth Parliament Organization of games and sports 17 Administrative matters Games and sports will form an integral part of our programmes during the academic year onwards. Holding of variety of competitions at class level, house level, cluster level and regional level they form a continuum. The detailed programme has been prepared and will be circulated to all the JNVs NVS has worked out details to provide necessary incentives and promotions to the staff working in it with a view of motivate and integrate them with the system as under: Finalization of seniority list: The seniority list should be finalized by 30 th September Grant of ACP scheme to non-teaching staff : RO may complete the work relating to grant of ACP by May 2006 Senior scale to teaching staff : RO may complete 15

16 the work relating to grant of senior scale to teaching staff by May 2006 Probation : All pending cases of probation reports SPRs of all employees particularly new recruited teachers be obtained after every 11 months by RO to review the performance. Advisory notes may be issued in case of any weaknesses observed. 18 Writing of Annual Confidential Reports 19 Implementation of integration of computer technology The confidential report is an objective assessment of the work and conduct of a Govt. Servant. The confidential reports of all categories of Group A B C and D employees and contract officials etc are to be written. The employees is graded either Outstanding/ Very Good/ Good/ Average or below Average. Average by itself is not considered adverse and hence is not conveyed. Employees graded average thus never get even an opportunity of knowing their shortcomings and improving thereupon. However, they are not able to achieve the benchmark required for promotion. As such the grading, as average should be avoided as far as possible. However, where inevitable it should be supported by a reference of warnings/ displeasures/ reprimands/ memorandums issued to the employees along with a copy thereof annexed to the confidential reports. Following are some of the broader areas of computer utilization: Introduction of computers and information science as elective subject at +2 stage subject to availability of minimum strength and prior approval of Hqrs. Serious thrust on computer literacy programme with annual evaluations/ examinations and also encouraging the students to appear for distance course and DOEACC Diploma etc. Empowerment of teachers in content and quality with computer support for preparation of lesson plans, instructional designs, reference of information etc. Utilization computers as teaching aids for concept clearance, problem solving and references. Video conferencing and telecast of lesson with competent teachers. Interactive learning by students with the faculty of esteemed organizations. Learning of the students through computers by use of internet, website etc. Filling up the gap of inadequate textbooks, library 16

17 books, subject teaching support etc. Organization of online activity and competitions in co-curricular activities and personality development programmes. Increasing communication abilities of the students. Development of profiles of students, alumni information, school magazines, question papers and model answers and other online activities. Maintenance of information system within the school as well as RO and Hqrs. Extending computer literacy to the students of neighbourhood schools. A.C Cluster Incharge of their cluster will help the Principals to prepare such as institutional plan. 20 Art & Education Each vidyalaya will identify the local traditional performing art and folk dances of the district and organize 10 days workshop under the guidance of local artist to develop and promote the precious heritage. Cluster Incharge will help the Principals in identifying. 21 Scout & Guide An annual calendar has been prepared for conduct of various Scout & Guide activities during the year The Principals will inform for the conduct of these activities to RO. A separate file will be maintained at vidyalaya level. 22 Principal Conference 23 Academic Inspection Principal s Conference will be held in the month of June for which the venue and the dates along with agenda points will be communicated later. Schedule for Academic Inspection has been prepared and being communicated separately. The Principal will prepare students and teachers for the Academic Inspection. The inspection team is expected to evaluate academic system, academic management, guidance, supervision and monitoring. It is generally observed that during the academic inspections, the teams are focusing only on senior and Board classes. Though, it is repeatedly being said that more attention is to be paid to the lower classes but this is not happening in general. Keeping in view the future reforms in the examination system etc it was thought appropriate to conduct separate inspections for higher and lower classes. While annually one inspection can be conducted from IX to XII class in the lower classes from VI to VIII at least two annual inspections should be completed 17

18 (one during July-August and the second during December- January). While the Asstt. Commissioner and senior Principals should take up the inspections of higher classes, a team of Vice Principals under the guidance of Cluster Academic Inchage Principal should undertake the inspections of lower classes in the vidyalaya. The main focus of the inspections in the lower classes would be on activity based teaching and thrust should be on crash programme in Maths, Science and English etc. 24 House System It has been observed that the institution of House System is not taken seriously by some of the vidyalayas. The Principals will identify the house masters keeping in view their category (As far as possible senior house masters will be PGTs), Distribution of houses should be done on the basis of guidelines issued by NVS,HQ. Housemasters should hold periodical meeting with their houses and maintain its record to be put up to the principal. 25 Vidyalaya Mess Running a Vidyalaya Mess in a residential school is not an easy job, it is impossible to cater to the taste of more than 500 odd students in a full fledged schools in pre adolescence, adolescence, post adolescence period. However if the vidyalaya takes the students representative in drawing out menu and other activities of mess, they get the chance to have an access to the internal problems of the mess and in turn can educate co-mates thus giving full scope for transparency. This exercise may help to minimize discipline problems which have their roots in the mess. The A.C. will keep on guiding the Principals of their clusters. 26 Other Administrative Matters Verification of stores on Submission of Quarterly report on court cases I. 1 st Quarterly report by 10 th July II. 2 nd Quarterly report by 10 th Oct. III. 3 rd Quarterly report by 10 th Jan. IV. 4 th Quarterly report by 10 th April Administrative approval only for those items which are not routinestic will be sought from RO. Tendering process will commence during second week of April and completed by second week of May. Order for procurement for previsions and students entitlement will be placed by 15 th of June. 18

19 Condemnation of stores will be carried out for times in a year. Report will be put up to the Incharge AC on 15 th July, 15 th Oct, 15 th Jan and 15 th April. 27 Maintenance & Repair Existing procedure and norms in incurring expenditure may continue. However, in case of any additional requirement ongoing activities or special repairs, the proposal may be submitted to RO 28 Institutional Plan The Principal will study the concept of Institutional Plan from some standard book themselves. Remember, School Calendar is merely a part of institutional plan. Institutional plan projects the vision of Principal. It is prepared keeping in view the institutional goals, availability of resources and action plan to augment the resources. Daily routine and time table will be prepared and put up on notice board. 29 School Calendar The Principal will prepare a calendar of activities for the Academic Session The calendar of activities is to be drawn out in such a way that each student gets a chance for participation in one activity or the other. The teachers incharge of these activities are to be helped to acquire competency to discharge responsibilities effectively. 30 Library Since NVS has placed all the funds at the disposal of Principal, he is advised to stagger the purchase of books for whole of the year keeping in view the need of students and staff and identification of resource for quality books. School librarian will promote reading habits among students with the help of teachers. He will organize students to review books. 31 Staff Development Principals will identify the strong and weak points of his staff. He will then propose to RO the areas where his teachers need training inputs, so that the matter is taken up with an NLI to train such teachers. Principal can himself also arrange training inputs at his level also under intimation to RO. 32 Pace Setting Activities Each vidyalaya will identify the nature of pace setting activity which can be taken in his vidyalay. The number of such activities should not be less than five. These activities range from academic excellence to community service. The action plan will entail the programme, people and implementation strategies. 19

20 33 C.C.E. Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation will form an integral part of our Academic Excellence. Coverage of syllabus, revision, its evaluation through unit test, class test, teacher observation, term test and preboard test, on the spot test are to be rigorously followed. The class teacher, subject teacher, House Master and Principal will also evaluate the nonscholastic traits of the students and fill up those to personal file. The students will be counseled regularly keeping in view their performance. Their will be zero failure and 95% first division in all classes. Written work will be given to the students regularly and the same will be checked. A time table will be prepared for the purpose. Teacher dairy which has been neglected so far will form the focus of our movement of academic excellence. The teachers will try and experiment with innovative actions. Science Practical and Geographical practical will be conducted w.e.f itself. A routine will be prepared that classes VI IX also get chance to visit lab at least once in a week. Practical of board classes will be completed by and practical records will be written and get signed by the students by A certificate to this effect will be sent to RO by Wall magazine To promote creativity among students, the vidyalaya will have wall magazine at class level, house level and Vidyalaya level. Award those who put up best presentation. Compile the best contribution of the year and get the same bound for keeping in the Vidyalaya library. 35 Goals for creative teachers 36 Physical Exercise in the morning Targets will be set for these teachers. They will be provided inputs to achieve these targets and action plan prepared to this effect will be subject to inspection. The present method of organizing the physical exercises and physical cultural activities in the schools are not systematic and schematic. Instead they are left to the choice and initiative of the Physical Education Teachers. This had created a great deal of imbalance in the methodology of organizing the daily routine and not yielding the desired results. Therefore, it is decided that a uniform system of physical exercise should be adopted by the vidyalaya in the early hours of morning allotted for the purpose. This shall include jogging, yoga, aerobics, calisthenics, gymnastics, 20

21 mass PT and other associated physical activities during this period which is likely to affect the performance of the child during the course of the day. Hence these activities should be restricted to warming up of the body and muscles. 37 Morning Assembly The morning is intended as miniscule of activities throughout the day leading for concentration, dedication, acquiring knowledge and information, creativity, alertness and aesthetics. Though various activities like Prayer, silence, speech, thought for the day and other activities are being organized in the morning assembly, These activities are not properly planned tuned and moduled, Hence the desired effect is not coming out of them. 38 Upkeep of vidyalaya campus In view of the above, it is requested that a specific plan of action may be prepared for meticulous organization of the morning assembly in the vidyalayas. The Navodaya Vidyalayas prayer should be recited with dedication and emotion by the students. Principals and teachers, especially the Music teacher should bring in effective change in the recitation of the prayer with a rhythm and melody to focus the attention of children. The RO will pursue to provide infrastructure in all those vidyalayas wherein it is felt that the same is not adequate. Facilities like classroom, multipurpose hall etc will be projected. The vidyalayas which are functioning at temporary site will be provided Phase A infrastructure and those with already Phase-A will be recommended for Phase B infrastructure also. Principals will ensure that the campus is presentable. 21
