All applications must be submitted with: Trip deposit $50 domestic and Mexico / $200 overseas trips 2 color copies of your passport FOPC liability waiver mandatory for all team participants (except Love Oak Park) 1st Team Meeting Sunday, December 10 @ 11:45 AM in the Kids Assembly Room Annual Auction March 10, 2018 APPLICATIONS DUE BY Jan. 7 2018 The difficulty of each team will be discussed at the first team meeting. Depending on time of travel, mode of transportation, climate at site, amount of physical labor and tasks to be done some trips may not be suitable for all. Participants may be asked to get doctor s approval before being assigned to a trip.
The mission team experience focuses on... Teams generally get involved in some type of work project, but we don t emphasize them as the primary goal of the trip. The reason? We want teams to focus on building relationships, learning about ministry and sharing the love of Christ. building relationships expanding your world view serving through a ministry of presence INDIVIDUAL TRIPS We support missionaries who from time to time make trips to Peru, China, Africa. These trips can be evangelistic trips through music, teaching, sports and other avenues. If you feel that God is calling you to branch out and experience a trip with one of our supported missionaries please contact the Missions Office.
Brazil Tentative dates July 7-21 Working primarily with Hope Unlimited, a ministry that rescues vulnerable youth from the streets. The daily routine will consist of work projects and interacting with the youth through various activities. Malawi 2½ to 3 weeks mid-july early August Work with Miqlat at their two orphan care centers building relationships and helping staff with daily programs. The team will take some of the older Malawi students away for several days to a camp in Mount Mulanje. These days of spiritual retreat are a time of growing deeper in the word of God, a time of bonding, and a time of great fun. La Esperanza July 28 August 4 Work with Mexican Medical missionaries at their facility in Baja, CA. The team usually does work projects around the compound or community in the morning and helps with a vacation Bible school at a nearby migrant camp in the afternoons. In the evenings the team joins ministries going on in the community. must be 5 years old or older Children in elementary school must be accompanied by an adult. Projects may include construction, painting, harvesting, craft projects, a luncheon for the teachers and a fiesta for the children.
