The University has been established under Uttar Pradesh Act number 24 of 2016. The same has been gazette notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh Vide No 1042/79-V-1-16-1(Ka) 25-2016 Dated 16 Sep, 2016.It admitted its first batch of students in B.Tech, MBA and P.hD programs in 2016. Bennett University is located in Greater Noida, less than an hour s drive from South Delhi. Total Number of Seats.+ 3-Years BBA - 180. 3-Years BAJMC - 120. + No of seats may be changed depending upon academic profile of candidates with approval of statutory authority of the University.
2. The seats include SC/ST, General category, and 2 seats for Kashmiri migrant. Additional 15% supernumerary seats are available for NRI/International category students. 3. A candidate with 10+2 or equivalent level qualification in any stream can apply. 4. For NRI/International candidates, in addition to marks in 10+2/equivalent examination, valid SAT is mandatory, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria. 5. Merely filling an application form does not entitle a candidate for admission. The admission is purely merit based. The University reserves the right to cancel/revoke its offer and/or acceptance of provisional admission at any point in time 6. No refund of application fee is allowed under any circumstances whatsoever. 7. Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available. University Admission Committee shall decide the cut offs for merit, in various categories and same shall be final. 8. Candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria as laid down in succeeding paragraphs, if he/she wishes to be considered for admission. 9. Non- submission of SAT Score and 10+2 /equivalent examination marks, to the University, before last date of application shall debar a candidate from being considered for merit. 10. All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list the following email id : admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail ID of the University for all communications related to admissions. 11. Merit Scholarships are available in all programs, details of which shall be provided in admission offer letters. 12. Provision exists for obtaining Honors and Minor degrees subject to doing specified additional courses as per the Rules of the programs. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 1. Criteria of Number of subjects in 10+2 Exams. 10+2 or its equivalent examination must be passed with minimum 5 subjects. Candidates with 4 subjects in 10+2 class are not eligible. 2. Subjects in 10+2 Examinations BBA. Mathematics shall be compulsory subject in 10+2. However, students with Math s in Class X level are also eligible to apply for Bennett s BBA program. Such students will have to take introductory course in Statistics & Calculus in Semester I of the program. Those who have mathematics at 10+2 level shall be exempt from this course. BAJMC English shall be compulsory subject in 10+2 examinations. 3. Criteria of minimum Educational Qualification and Year of Passing The 10+2 examination must be passed in 2017 or 2018. Those appearing in 10+2 examination in 2018 must produce the original copies of results latest by 14 Aug 2018. Candidates who are offered provisional admission based on declared scores in the application, will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authorities, during document
inspection at the time of registration (3rd week of July), failing which, such provisional admission will stand withdrawn. (d) (e) If the results of 10+2 examinations are likely to be delayed beyond the date of registration (3rd week of July), such candidates are advised to seek admission next year. No representations for extension of dates for verification of documents shall be entertained. Any wrong declaration of marks /Scores, which affects the merit/provide undue advantage, shall lead to disqualification of the candidate and withdrawal of admission. 4. Criteria for Date of Birth Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October 1998 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are only eligible to apply for admission. 5. Eligibility conditions for IB/Cambridge qualified Candidates. (All candidates shall be required to obtain the 10+2 equivalence certificate from AIU before 14 Aug 2018). Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of admission. For IB Board (i) Student should have secured a minimum of 26 points/credits. (ii) Student should have passed minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at standard Level (SL) (iii) Mathematics is a mandatory for BBA program. However, students with Mathematics at 10 th standard may also apply for BBA program. Such students will have to take Introductory Statistics & Calculus course in Semester I of the program. Those who have mathematics at 10+2 level shall be exempt from this course. For Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) (i) Percentage Uniform Marks shall be similar to 10+2 conditions of CBSE, as listed above i.e overall 60%. (ii) Should have passed minimum 5 subjects at O level including English, and minimum 2 subjects at A level. These are mandatory to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU. (i) Mathematics is a mandatory subject for BBA program. However, students with Mathematics at 10th standard may also apply for BBA Program. Such students will have to take Introductory Statistics & Calculus course in Semester I of the program Those who have mathematics at 10+2 level shall be exempt from this course. 6. Eligibility conditions to be eligible for NRI/International Students NRI/PIO/OCI (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) PIO (Person of Indian Origin). A person who or whose any of ancestors were Indian national and who is presently holding another country s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. NRI shall be a student, whose mother or father, first degree relation including the real brother and sister or grandparents both paternal and maternal are NRIs. This quota may also be availed by wards of NRI persons, who should be the nearest relation to include real brother and sister of father and mother i.e. real uncle and real aunt, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins. However, such persons, who have looked after such student as the guardian, need to produce
(v) evidence to the effect, along with an affidavit signed by authorities in country where such person is residing. NRI, in this context shall imply an Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business or vocation outside India or stays abroad under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad. International Student All students who are foreign country pass port holders and have passed their 10+2 exams from a foreign board. 7. Routes to Admission: Candidates who fulfill the eligibility as above, shall be required to have one of the following routes for admissions, which are explained subsequently, in the document: 10+2 Exams/ IB/Cambridge or equivalent exams scores merit. SAT Exams Score merit for NRI/International Students 8. General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of registration (3rd week of July 2018) for the respective program failing which, they will be disqualified and provisional admission shall be cancelled. Admission granted to student may be revoked for noncompliance/not meeting the admission criteria/ being found ineligible, even if same is detected at a later date. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. APPLICATION PROCESS 9. How to obtain and Fill the Application Form: The candidates may obtain and fill the application forms in any of the following ways. Obtain application form and brochure from the University office by cash payment of Rs.1000/-or sending a bank draft of Rs. 1000/- favoring Bennett University, payable at Noida/Greater Noida. Fill the application form and affix a recent colored photograph at appropriate place. Post the application on the below mentioned address. 12. Important to note before submission of Application Form. (d) (e) Candidates who procure the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 1000/-, are not required to make any further payment, while submitting the application form. Knowing the Application Status: Those candidates who apply online shall receive a unique application No and an e-mail acknowledging the receipt. For those applying through hard copy, will receive an email and registration details, when the form is uploaded on the ERP system. The candidates are required to view the web site frequently, for the latest information and also required to take the necessary action as per the information hosted on the website from time to time Candidates are also advised to keep the original receipt of the Speed Post / Registered Post issued by the post office and the photocopy of the filled in Application Form. All issues regarding non- receipt of application form by the University, must be resolved by the candidate with admission section of the University, before declaration of merit. No appeals thereafter are acceptable. University shall not be responsible for non- receipt of application at the admission office. Photocopies of 10th, 12th standard mark sheets, (if results have been announced) must be uploaded on the online form or sent along with the application forms. PROCESS FOR ADMISSION: 13. The admission process shall involve Submission of application/registration of candidature. (d) (e) Registration of candidature implies filling online application or sending the hard copy of purchased application form and providing the marks/scores as required : The candidate may fill the application form without waiting for the results of 10+2 or equivalent Examination or SAT results. IB/IGCSE students, who fulfill the required eligibility criteria, may also fill the form of the University, based on predicted scores (provided by counselor only, directly to University at email ID admissions@bennett.edu.in referring to program and application number). It is essential for the candidate to provide the marks of 10+2 or equivalent examination or SAT scores in case of NRI candidates to the University immediately, after declaration of results. The marks may be (i) filled online or (ii) candidate may provide score cards to the admission office before the date mentioned below. Non- Compliance shall be at candidate s risk and no claim can be made for consideration for merit. Further, the candidate has to produce the original valid SAT Score Card and /or mark sheet of 10+2 or equivalent exam at the time of document verification during registration process (July 2018). MERIT LIST AND ADMISSION OFFERS/ALLOCATION OF SEATS: 14. Eligibility for Merit - Candidates shall be considered for meriting process, only after they meet all of the following criteria: Those who apply in the prescribed application form / apply online. Those whose applications are found valid. The applications are received before the due date. (d) Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria. (e) Where the applicants provide the required scores before the last date of application. 15. Drawing the Merit Lists and Admission Offers. The merit list shall be drawn amongst eligible applications received, based on the aggregate percentage of marks scored by the candidate in 10+2 or equivalent examination. 10+2 marks percentage, shall be duly normalized amongst various school boards, as per available percentile data.
The merit list for SC/ST candidates and Kashmiri Migrant candidates shall be made based on the marks which shall be 10 % marks below the lowest marks on which general category candidates are admitted. Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available, in case he/she does not meet the minimum cut off marks decided by the University Admission Committee for this category of seats. (d) More than one list may be announced, as required as per schedule in table below. 16. Drawing the Merit Lists and Admission Offers (NRI/ International Student Category) Candidates wishing to take admission under this category must meet the definition as given Para 6 (Eligibility Criteria) above. The merit shall be drawn based on 10+2 marks percentage, which shall be duly normalized amongst various school boards or SAT scores. 17. Communication of Merit and Information about Seat Allotment and Fee payment All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list the following email id: admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail ID of the University for all communications It is responsibility of the candidate to monitor the mails for the admission offers, as per general schedule /important dates announced, to know about their admission offers, fee payment schedule and guidelines and instructions etc. Ignorance of schedule or not checking the details in time shall not be accepted as an excuse to attend or claim for admission at a later date. However, day scholars may be allowed; It should be noted students shall not be allowed private transport inside University premises. + The fees do not include any charges for additional certifications, modules, immersions, trainings, industrial visits etc. which shall be charged to students as and when such activities are planned. The fee structure may be revised by the management from time to time. ## The NRI fee shall be required to be transferred from the foreign or NRE account of NRI sponsor or Foreign national.
